British Passport application processing timelines (only)

Hi, Just wanted to share my passport application timeline.
I am really impressed with the speed in which it all worked out.

Application Timeline
Passport for: Adult
Application Type: New (naturalization)
Method of application: Check & Send
Date of application: 22/09/14
Date application received by IPS: sms received twice on 25/09/14
Date of return of documents:TBA
Date of receipt of interview letter:26/09/14 (dated 24/09/14)
Date of Passport Interview Appointment: 27/09/14 (Luton office, really recommend it as they work till 6.00 PM on Saturdays)

Well, that might be an unwritten rule. The guy at the Post Office also told me I needed to send the passport that I used to enter the UK although it is a cancelled passport but I did not have it with me then and I did take the risk by sending my application without it. My gut feeling says they will also ask me to send it over... I hope not though as I need the passport asap...
Will update if I receive such letter.

We called up today and they mentioned to send the passport which was originally used to enter into UK as they want to find the date of entry.

We told that we had already sent the uncancelled passports and they said they will talk to examiner again/

We are very much confused why they need the date of entry ones. I asked whether there is any issue with my application and they mentioned that since it is linked to my wife, they could not process until this one is sorted. In my case, i had sent my new indian passport and the date of entry is in my old indian passport which they did not ask.

I don't know why they are so confused and they don't connect directly to the examiner.

Received Letter from HM Passport for my wife asking to contact them as soon as possible as they were unable to contact us.

Has anybody received letter like this? Is this regarding some clarification?

Hi

Hello. Thanks for your timeline ,I posted the same day as you and did received my interview letter today unfortunately it was too late to call them today . I was just wondering did they give you flexibility for the passport appointment ? Do those offices seems fully booked according to your conversation with them?

Hi, They told me the nearest passport office which was fine for me so I didn't ask any other place date or time as availability was next working day so didn't bother.

1) If we should send Indian passport (all uncancelled passports) In part B Section 3 of the passport application form?
