At the time of trying to book my interview, I was informed that London Victoria was fully booked until 17/09/14, so you may want to try other locations and in my case I opted for Luton.

In total, it took me 5 weeks from the date of application to the receipt of my passport.

Text msg received 4m DX on 30.08 that they attempted delivery of passport on 29.08 and left a card. However I could NOT trace any card. I called DX to arrange a collection but they refused. I then requested re-delivery but the earliest date they gave me was 03.09. It seems almost a week. Not very happy.

This part of my journey has come to an end and I would like to thank everybody on these forums for their experiences, which helped advise me on the courses of actions to take during my various applications. Particular thanks also goes to man4uni for compiling the statistics for both when I got naturalised and got my passport, which gave me a sense of when something was remiss. I also think that everybody on these forums owes a debt of gratitude to Amber for her advice on the various threads posted here.

I'll now emigrate to the other countries section of these forums and kick off the process of surrendering my old passport and then head off to Munich to celebrate with a few steins of beer at the Oktoberfest.

Hi Guys,
Finally got my passport today. Just dropped through the door. I had lots of different issues, all due to HM Passport office mistakes.
First they sent me interview letter on 5th Aug with wrong surname. So had to send my certificate back to get new letter by 14th Aug.
On 21st Aug, one day after my interview got call from Peterborough saying that I mention during interview that 10 years ago one of the bank put my name sequence wrong. I said yes I did mention. So gentleman ask me to send them my driving licence and other proofs that my name is correct. I sent it recorded and finally got passport today. You can not argue with them even if you are right and they are wrong.

Yes you can do that. there is no harm in that.

I applied nationality from my old address and moved to new address and then apply passport application from new address.

26/08/2014 - I sent them email (from online form) to enquire status about application around mid day and got reply in evening around 1900 that application was received on 01/08/2014 and is currently going through examination process and rest was standard reply, funny enough I got letter first, when I return home and read email reply later and was thinking that there is really a serious problem about latest information which may not be available to customer service team although their reply was correct that my application is still under process/examination but I would have expected something like waiting for interview or interview call letter sent

NOTE:
On a separate note, one of my known person received interview letter which was issues to him on 23/08/2014, it seems that extra working hours i.e. weekend

Update

I had appointment today. he didn't ask my parents date of birth, just asking about my family n work, study even I forget some employers name in the middle ( I have done 8 jobs in last 5 years) .
He didn't note down any thing neither he was looking into computer neither he has any pen in his hand.. STRANGE - where as I have seen in the forum that they do note every thing you say etc .
Then he looked into computer for 1 minute and ask me these questions
List the addresses, Bank names that's all and again he started chatting with me
about my life in uk work, living place n etc. He was trying to give me pressure that may I forget some thing so he can catch but I was giving all correct answers ya I was nervous and I forgot some companies I work he was asking very quickly and fast. It look like he studied my life in UK like a story and then asking me questions

He was nice gentleman I enjoyed the interview even I was nervous for couple of minutes and interview last 15 minutes approx.

My journey is going to end soon so will update you ... I'm surprised I post in the form and no budy bother to reply ......anyway

Guys I have a couple of questions:-
1- What carrier does deliver passport? I'm wondering if is going to be royal mail as I won't be at home and have to collect it at post office.
2- I don't live the that address anymore but I didn't mention it at the interview as they would have re-arranged it, if I call them now and give my new address, will they re deliver to my new address in short time or again will be another awaiting game?!!!!!!!

Note: my friends living in my old address and if they at home then they will sign for me but if they out then!! Don't know what will happen!!!
