It's worth noting that I left the UK (visited France) about three weeks after I had been granted citizenship but before I had applied for a UK passport. When coming through customs I used my NZ passport and a copy of my UK citizenship certificate. He asked to see my ILR permit which I had held onto, and showed him and went through customs with no issues.
