I went for my interview yesterday and I have not received any text so far to say that my passport is printing.... Does every applicant receive this text when HMPO will do the printing of the passport?iam still awaiting for my documents to be sendback to me...I call today but the lady I spoke to,said that my application still under examining... I need my old passport urgently and I'm waiting for HMPO to call me back.how long does it take before documents come back...?

So sent new photo on 30th April by Royal Mail 1st class to PO BOX address given on the letter. Has anyone been in similar situation and if you know how long it takes to get interview letter in such cases?

I am in a similar position. I sent my application via check and send on 24th April and the counter lady said that the photos are not right but I decided to send my application anyway. she wrote on my passport form that she asked me to retake the photos.

Did the passport office just asked you to send the new photos or do they want you to get them signed by countersign as well?

Call the HMPO advise number to check the status. They are really polite and helpful, if the person on the phone can't help you, they will set a callback within 48 hrs.

I wonder if any of you can help me. I'm going on holiday on the 6th June and my mate dropped out at the last minute so my sister took her place. Only thing was she didn't have a passport. We sent it off on the 15th April.. Giving us just over 7 weeks before our holiday. We did it as check and send. The following Saturday she had a text saying they have received her application. But we still haven't had a interview letter come through as it's her first passport and we haven't received out documents back. Does anyone know how roughly it takes for the interview? I'm getting a bit worried now as i don't want to go on holiday on my own

You should expect the interview letter anytime now , if not today or tomorrow definitely next week!

If I were you I would call the HMPO advise helpline (number mentioned in your check and send service) and quote the Reference number provided by PO.

Can someone who has received his/her passport confirm whether the British passport contains/displays the following information anywhere in it :
(a) Name of spouse
(b) Marital Status

You just need to send your passport together with application, photo and certificate. Your new British passport will come with 1st class mail so no one needs to receive it. If you use Post Office service if you pay additional 3 pounds they will return your old passport together with certificate via special delivery.

Just wondering regarding passport interview, in application form I have provided my permanent address ( which is in Glasgow) but currently I am living somewhere else ( Yorkshire ) temporarily for few more months. So, do we book passport interview place ourself? Or they will just send us the interview place and time around the address provided?. See it will be difficult for me to travel glasgow just to attend interview. Plz someone shed light on it.
And also do we need to send BRP card along with the current passport?

I'm a little worried that it took two weeks for the application to even acknowledge being received. It seems this is out of character with usual timelines.

Anyone have any thoughts on this? I've been asked to work abroad mid June which allowed about 2 months from application, but I'm starting to worry now. It's ok if I can't go, but I'd really like to.

I missed the DX delivery today for the current passport and am trying to get it rearranged. Should I be concerned that I have not received the passport interview invitation letter yet ? Is it normal for the invitation letter to arrive after the documents have been received?
