Oct 2015:I requested for return of passport from HO for travel purpose.They kept only Life in th UK certificate and sent back everything,what i received back was:

in other words they sent back everything apart from life in the UK certificate.

in the letter caseworker said you have not met one of the requirement i.e i was supposed to be physically present in the UK exactly on the date 5 years before the date of application.(i was on holidays).
if you want us to continue considering your application, send us back same application form back but with fee of extra 99 pounds(new fee applies now ) and also resign Biometrics section of the application and we will continue considering application.

Oct 15, 2015: posted the application form again after resigning Biometrics section again with payment of 99 pounds,as application fee was increased by 99 pounds for applications made after 7 april 2015.
Dec 01 2015: Received Bio invitation letter.
Dec 5, 2015:Registered my Bios.
Jan 28,2016: Approval letter received dated 25 jan 2016.
Waiting for ceremony!

Tano Seth yes it can be denied cuz it falls under not being a good character now days they look at these things very carefully in longer run pay it off first then apply for citizenship cuz if you just applied and dint pay the out standing dues they can even put in the category of defrauding the government I know some1 personally who has had bad experience similar to that and now he can't apply for citizenship for 10 years

Other Updates: I moved houses mid september which was pre-planned and mentioned in my application. However HO still sent letter to old address. Though I checked at my old house but I haven't heard back from HO. Shall I be worried and is there a way to find out if I missed my biometric request mail.
