Hi All,

Is there anyone else applying from Cape Town South Africa? I have heard of people waiting 8 months. Some for 4 months and another 2 months. Can anyone assist with their waiting periods if applied in SA?

I think it should be fine.
I think you have applied through the NCS and They checked the docs before posting the application. So, the case worker will rely on the docs
And because you made your application in August, I think its just away from the corner.
Did you gave you biometrics already????

Hello all,

I'm new to this forum after being directed by a friend. Looks like a wealth on knowledge here and wish I had known about this before as it would have helped me with my application.

Anyway, I applied for naturalisation in August 2015(See timelines below). Late November, my ILR BRP was lost during a visa application process (for a different country). Since then I have successfully got a replacement card for the BRP by mid Dec. Will this loss of BRP impact on my naturalisation application? The ID number on the old BRP and new one is different?

Any ideas? Thanks in advance for your help!

Purely conjecture, but maybe your council does not have dates to propose for the ceremony yet; so maybe wait ten working days (i.e. 12 Jan) and then contact the Home Office or the council.
