Wow! That is super fast!! HO must be caught up on the backlog! I applied in August for UKM and still awaiting my approval after submitting my Bio's in October! Good sign! :D
I haven't heard anything since providing my biometrics on No 3 / 2015. Does anyone have an info on what the estimated time is after they take your biometrics. The citizenship fee was already taken off my credit card. Thanks

When I dealt with VFS Global for the biometrics it was incredibly frustrating. They have an office in Vancouver. You've got to register on their site and it takes your money. Due to some technical issues I got charged twice. I had almost no way to contact them except through a generic email address as they don't list a phone number in Vancouver. A day or 2 after my email explaining the issue I got a call and an appointment was made for my biometrics to be taken. I also received emails indicating they couldn't find a record of my double payment for the biometrics. I provided that evidence via email. I went to Vancouver for my appointment and was assured that VFS Global would refund the second payment that was taken in error. I waited a week to ten days and still no refund on my credit card. Thankfully I explained the issue to my credit card company and they refunded the second payment. I looked up VFS and saw many people have experienced issues with VFS. The male who made my appointment by phone after my email about the double payment and not being able to register for the biometrics (meaning schedule an appointment on line as it was impossible to do) was very polite and helpful. He was the same person who took my biometrics on Nov 3rd. I don't know what the timeline is now for processing etc. The fee for the ceremony was charged to my credit card back in October shortly after the application package was received. Does anyone else have an info on what happens after the biometrics are obtained?? Specifically for those applying from Canada and or the USA? I tried to email the home office etc and only got automatic/generic type replies that clearly of no help.

I have been waiting since April 24, 2015 (I sent the form then, it was received on May 7) to get British Citizenship through UKM and I am still yet to hear anything. I haven't heard anything since I did my biometrics. I emailed the home office - it said they will take 20 business days to reply and not to chase up my case any further until they reply. Seriously sick of waiting :( I wanted to be back in the UK by now (I have lived there previously with a Right of Abode certificate in my passport, but when that ran out I decided to just get citizenship. ugh, big mistake).
Maybe I will hear something before Christmas. *sigh* My expectations are not high though.

Hi, Fairylady!
Congratulations!
I wonder if you sent the copies of all your passports for this 10 years period and the HO letters to confirm that you had been legally in the UK or only the the copy of your latest passport and the English+L in the UK tests, etc?
Thank you in advance.

This forum has been very useful to predict approximate timelines for the application progress as we hear NOTHING from home office for long periods. Thank you all for sharing :)
Almost a week since the fee got deducted but i have not received any acknowledgement email or letter, this does not seem normal compared to other posts on the forum. Can you please tell me how to get in touch with HO regarding an update? Is there a specific email or number to call w.r.t naturalization applications? What information would i need to provide them as i do not have any reference number yet?
Appreciate advise from the experts :)
You will find that the day they deduct your fee is the day they draft your letter of acknowledgement. This will be sent via 2nd class postage but you should expect to get it after 6/7 days as some people, including me got. All the best.

hi everyone,

as you can see that its been almost 1.5 years that i am waiting for my naturalization. i sent them emails requesting the reason for delay and it was only two months ago that i got a response that since "you have taken the TOEIC exam which is why your application is on hold pending further inquiries". now i did take the TOEIC exam back in 2013 before the scandal broke but thankfully i never used it to support any of my homeoffice applications. i instead took the B1 exam to fulfill the english language requirement. i have emailed them again to explain that i have never used the TOEIC test to support my applications but so far there has been no response or movement on this. i have also booked the IELTS life skills test for early next month just in case.

can any one guide me further on this?

Thanks
hi
did you use your TOEIC certificate when applying?

Hi hadi2012, you can use your old b1 certificate you don't need to do it again as you are required to pass English test once not twice. And trinity college is registered.Even you can check it in AN form and it will come up as an option to select. So no worries go ahead Good luck.

Check here if the college you have taken (Trinity College London - B1 Exam) is in the List
If it is here, then you can use the same certificate

Hi thanks for all who give answer my question. I check on (Saanju9) provided link . Yes my college and centre is still there because in glasgow only one centre {Trinity College London
58503
Trinity Glasgow SELT Centre
The Centrum Building, 38 Queen Street, Glasgow G1 3DX} Is still approved. But my question about the date of my test is July 2014 is still valid because some is invalid after 18/11/2015.
