Hello,

Could someone help me, please. I have submitted my application 2 weeks ago via NCS ( I havent received anything yet, and fees hasn't been taken. At NCS office They have gave me a tracking number for the post office to track the envelope with my application.

I have tried to track it and on post office website it says that it was delivered to 'our Warrington Delivery Office'. It doesn't really say that it was delivered to the Home Office. Is this normal ????

How do you know when your application has been delivered to UKBA???

Hi all,

Can anyone please help me with a query? I am in the process of applying for my British citizenship and British passport. I have so far only submitted the UKM application. Yesterday i received my invitation to do my Biometric Enrollment which i will be doing on Monday the 2nd November 15. What i want to know is, how long do i need to wait now after it has been done to get an outcome (decision)? Both my sons are in the UK already and i so badly want to get to them. I am applying through my British mom and i was born before 1983. My boy's went on Ancestral Visa's. I really hope the waiting period will not be months and months. Has anyone recently done theirs? Once a decision has also been made, how long does the Passport portion of it take? how much time am i looking at more or less?

Note: I receive a letter on the 15th october 2015 saying ( we are unable to process your application within the six months target.This is because your application raises exceptionally complex issues and we require further time to to consider your case thoroughly and reach a decision.
we expect to make a decision on your application shortly,but we will write to you again if this is not going to be possible.)
I dont know why they wrote this letter only to send me approval letter few days letter.

Good luck to everyone waiting,is been a difficult journey dealing with the home office but you will receive your approval letter known as the brown envelop sooner or later,thanks.

Finally received brown envelops for myself and wife. I was getting quite nervous after seeing a lot of applicants who applied later than me, getting their approval letters. Thanks to this user baord for getting me through this time.

I have applied for citizenship on the 26th of June and did my biometrics on the 10th of July. Like many others, I haven't heard anything since then.
There has been changes in my job that require me to travel a lot for business and having the British passport became an urgent requirement. Do you know if I can get my MP involved at this stage before the 6 months period is over and try to push for a quick decision?

Hello all, I have sent my info through the NCS with Hampshire County Council. I send off my payment details and then got a letter stating that I hadn't submitted the Payment form, (despite having a reciept from the NCS proving I did). I have since resubmitted a payment for form and it was received in the 14/10/2015, but they have still not taken payment, nor confirmed that they have received that application, is this normal as I was told that payment would be taken quite quickly as it was one of the first things that they do?
