I got a question!
I submitted my application on 01July2015, paid the fee on the 7th july 2015, and biometric the following week. ever since I didn’t hear nothing. However, on 03Setpember 2015,I requested my documents back as I need to travel for two weeks. I got my documents back within 4 working days and the enclosed letter stated that they will contact me to return the documents when they started working on my application. This means for the last two months, they haven’t touch my appliation.

Do any of you experience something similar and do they request you to re-send your documents? And do any of your get approval from July application. would i experience further delay? I know they stated waiting time within 6 months, but it seems some people get their approval within few weeks.

Please opine if you have any idea.

Thanks

Hello!
I've got the same issue, but my acknowledgement letter dates back to 18.06! I am not sure why my biometrics were never requested, could anyone help on this? :/

Not quite right. British born children are british citizens if at the time of birth one of their parents, either: a) have ILR or b) are British citizens. If the parents get an ILR after their birth then the child has to undergo the Naturalization process.

Please always double-check the guidelines before giving advice on this forum as you may be misleading others.

The guide at:
https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/s ... e_2015.pdf
specifically states this:
"A child born in the UK to parents one or both of whom are
 British citizens, or
 are settled in the UK at the time the child is born, or
 members of the UK armed forces
"
Plz read the link YOU have quoted. It says registration not naturalisation. MN1 form is the registration form not naturalisation Form
Agree on the registration vs naturalization comment. But even so, the comment: "British born kids becomes British national if one of their parents is settled (ILR) before they reach the age of 18." needs further clarification and references and (please take note moderators) it needs it's own thread. Not this one pertaining to naturalization timelines.
Please refer to the response made to the gentleman of the original post here. He's posted in the thread of MN1 guidelines if you want to participate.

You are wrong for kids born in UK it is registration proces, naturalisation apply to those born outside UK.

It would have been good to submit you're HMRC documents with the rest of the application. Having said that there have been cases where UKVI request additional documents during the application processing stages.

Is anyone doing this process from the USA?
I just submitted my Hubby's paperwork on Sept 1,
It was received by Liverpool on September 3. Just wondering how they do biometrics and such with the time constraints. I've heard they may email due to the distance... I'm hoping things move quickly! Any help would be very much appreciated!

Just a quick question. Even though my cheque was cleared in a matter of weeks, I never received the acknowledgement of application and more than a month from the deduction of the fees have passed. Should I be worried? Or is this normal? Anyone experiencing same issue? Thanks.

Have you received a biometric letter? when did you apply?
28/07 applied
No biometric letter as well. No communication so far appart from the fees being deducted beginning of August.
The payment for my application was deducted (credit card), around 20th May. Then a week later I received two letters from the Home Office - one is the acknowledgement letter and one is the biometric instruction letter.
So I suggest that you contact them straight away if, after a few weeks of funds were taken you still haven't received any correspondence - in case they went missing in the post.
There is a time limit for the biometric enrollment to be completed as well so, you probably should get in touch with the Home Office promptly.

Hope that helps.
