Language criteria met (UK degree, exempt countries, PBS used documents, NARIC, or B1 test): PBS/ILR documents; UK degree.

Payment method CC/DC, Personal cheque, Bankers cheque etc: Debit card

No fees has been deducted and no communication received so far. Just spoke to HO who said that it can take up to 8 weeks for the fees to be deducted. Has this happened to anyone or should I be worried?

Bear in mind, you applied just before school finished, and so alot of caseworkers are on holidays etc.

Okay, thanks. From what I can see on this board, the latest application which have received approval in August are ones submitted during March. I guess mine (submitted late April) will come through late September at the earliest?
They told me processing times are between 8 to 12 weeks, but clearly this is not the case..

At this rate it's probably more likely to be 16-24 week wait !

I am surprised and even shocked why people go to solicitors when you have google? Solicitors do the same, research and read material and rules...

Please read chapter 18 'good character requirements' ..I doubt you will succeed in getting the approval. Many others are refused citizenship for the same reasons..

the reason was they said i was living illegaly from 2003 until 2014 when i was granted DLR. a year later i was granted ILR.
note: I used to report every month from 2003 till 2013. i was issued with IS96 document, they did not include this in their refusal letter. Ill be going to see another solicitor and from that I will see wheher to ask for a reconsideration or not.

Out of curiosity, quick poll -- how many people who applied in late February/early March are still waiting? How many have received approval?

First of all thanks very much for running this really useful forum. I made my application on the 6th of May, and I only received the acknowledgment letter up to know. As far as I can see from the previous posts, very few people who applied in May got approval, but I have not even received the biometrics letter. I am really worried that there might be a problem with my application. Do you think this is normal? I am thinking of contacting the Home Office to ask about the biometric letter, but I am not sure whether this is possible at all.

They say its taking around 5 months for all application made after 6th April. So since they acknowledged receipt in May, I'd be inclined to go 5 months from then

Could anyone please let me know whether any one got the approval letter from Home Office who applied in 2 nd week of April. We are going on a holiday in October and I am hoping my son could get a letter before Sept to apply for the British Passport. Another issue is his Indian passport expires on 23 rd Sept. So if he doesn't get a letter then I need to apply a new Indian Passport and followed by Schengen Visa.
