Previously posted in the wrong thread. I have applied for naturalisation for my wife as per below:
Eligibility criteria: 5 year residency + 1 year ILR
Language criteria met (UK degree, exempt countries, PBS used documents, NARIC, or B1 test): PBS/ILR documents; UK degree.
Current nationality: Indian
Method of application: Postal (Special delivery)
Council name if NCS used: N/A
Date of application: 07/07/2015
Payment method CC/DC, Personal cheque, Bankers cheque etc: Debit card
Date of receipt by UKBA: N/A
Date of acknowledgment Received: waiting
Date of debit or clearance of fees: Waiting
Date approval received: waiting
Date of ceremony: waiting
No fees has been deducted and no communication received so far. Just spoke to HO who said that it can take up to 8 weeks for the fees to be deducted. Has this happened to anyone or should I be worried?

A question please - did your two referees get contacted by the Home Office at any stage during the process? My two have not heard anything from them.

They told me processing times are between 8 to 12 weeks, but clearly this is not the case..
Okay, thanks. From what I can see on this board, the latest application which have received approval in August are ones submitted during March.
