Just received an email today (18/04/2024) from MMST Workflow saying my application is going to take more than 6 months to process.

Not sure why is my case not straightforward, as I have been here since I was a minor (15yrs now)and I have not breached any laws/regulations.

Emailed my local MP:18/04/2024
Response from UKVI to my MP: 20/05/2024 (generic email saying naturalisation is not an automatic process and they are still working on it)
Since it's been over suggested 6 months timeframe, I also filed a complain on 13/05/2024, and now pending on their response.

It is frustrating that I am still waiting for a decision, given that my case is a straightforward one, especially seeing other people getting their approvals within 3-5 months time!

But patience and resilience is the key here.

Nervous like many of you seeing as my application has passed the 3 month mark. Hope I haven't made any mistake, or that I'm unlucky and have a case that takes longer than 6 months. Or worse, that I'm unsuccessful for some reason.

I can't believe it. I received an email from the council this morning (literally 5 min after I was reading this forum worrying I'd made an error with my evidence) saying they have my naturalisation certificate and requesting me to select a ceremony date.

No word from the Home Office. Note if this happens to you: the council email said if I haven't got the Home Office email by my ceremony date, that I can still attend by bringing two forms of official ID.

Thank God this journey reached its end, very long wait and stress. It took more than 10 months to reach the decision. Many thanks to this forum which showed I was not alone with delayed decision.
