Your case is what we can call complicated. You applied asylum at the airport (which means the officer rejected entry to the UK), were detained and deported. You also had your spouse visa rejected and were granted on appeal which means there was some exceptional circumstances for the visa.Runiali wrote:Please anyone can advice me on that, knowing that I came in 2005 and applied for asylum at airport then was detained for few months at yards wood and deported. After that in 2011(when my husband got his ILR) he applied for marriage visa to me and refused (HO disputed marriage is not geniune, I was pregnant at that time) then granted in appeal, Came to UK on spouse visa in January 2012. Applied for indefinite same day service in February 2014 and was issued with biometric residence permit. Now I have two kids who are British (although the NCS Officer DID NOT it include their birth certificate in application). Never had any criminal record or penalty.

I was relaxed already. As you can see from my timeline, it took me 5 months so I'd say just stop worrying and let HO do their job.ChOudhry1 wrote:Congratulations mate. You must be very relaxed after all these years. Plz pray for us too.

Its 10 years from the date of conviction. So, in the given case, the application can be made after 08 Oct 2017.jasonyu1983 wrote:I am sorry to hear this result. I am in the similar situation with you. I wonder when you are allowed to apply the citizenship again? I understand there is this 10 year ban. In your case, is it 10 year from 08 October 2007, or 10 year from 13 April 2015?

Explanation at the end of the letter from HO:
"Our records indicate that you worked in the UK without permission after being encountered by enforcement officer 08 October 2007. In view of this, the Secretary of State takes the view that you do not meet good character requirement for naturalization and your application has been refused."
I'm not disappointed about this decision as in my country is war for the moment, people from other country will understand me like Iraq, Livia, Palestine etcetera. Make sure your solicitor know what he doing as my wasn't competent.
Good luck to all.
