Is there anyone can suggest me, I had just received a letter for biometric request, this is something that I have to book on line or just go into any post office whoever does biometric, If so, I will be planning to go tomorrow.anyone who had recent experience kindly let me know! Urgent

Hey Lucky. You can simply walk-in to any Post Office which enrolls Biometrics and get it done the same day.
No need for any appointment. Just take your invitation letter, Debit card or cash. Unfortunately they do not take credit cards for Bio metrics.

HI, I applied for Naturalisation in 1 June 2015. I have given all biometric data and currently waiting for the approval. I have a personal situation that I have to travel to Australia soon and be there for couple of months. We went on holiday to Australia and my wife had an accident. She is pregnant and with her condition she is living with my in laws as she is in safe hands during her pregnancy. But it is closer to the due dates and I want to travel to Australia. My plan is that I travel to Australia and will return to UK in six months’ time.

• Appreciate if you could advise whether I can request the ceremony to be conducted in UK high commission in Australia if I travel now.
• If I get the Naturalisation certificate from UK high commission in Australia, can I apply for my UK passport from there.

Scenario two.
• If I get my Naturalisation certificate before my travel , can I travel using my original non UK passport to Australia and can I apply for the UK passport from Australia when I land there.


Both me and my wife is currently on ILR. Appreciate if you could clarify ,When my little boy come to the world (in Australia) what will be his immigration status on the following two scenarios.

• If I do not get UK naturalisation by the time he is out
• If I have the Naturalisation but still not have the UK passport with me yet by the time he is out

I think you choose either option 3 or 4. Leave both, with more and less than 6 months ones.

How do you phone them? When I phoned the number I had an option if my waiting time was over the 6 months and if it wasn't (I'm 2.5 months in) I had no option. What is the contact number to check?

How many applicantions?

Just one - single person, no spouse/partner/dependants, no overstays or anything. I'm only a little anxious because I'm meant to go abroad for work for business soon and I'd like to at least get the biometrics out of the way before that, given that the letter gives you two weeks to do it - the guy at NCS made a point of emphasising this.

It might be due to the numbers of applications. If you have any questions just phone them up.

Every year follows the same pattern. Increase numbers around March (just before any change or increase in price). April and May are really slow and all other months are back to normal average. As I said before if you have any doubts just phone HO. How many applicantions? My guess I as good as yours... Especially with recent developments in Tunisia , Kuweit and France I bet they will be more thorough. Patience ... Is my only answer

Normally in all categories other than naturalization ukba speed of fee cutting is super fast like bullet train but why in naturalization they not so speedy

I think they have realized now. They will take our money asap and will decide in next 6 months or so.

Well they say straight forward applications cantake up to 6 months.... anytime after that some apicants have got their MP involved to get them to pull their finger out.
