On 12/6/2013 I tried to book my interview, only to find out that my date of birth had been entered incorrectly into the passport office IT systems. To rectify this, I have to wait till I receive my certificate of naturalisation back, which I then have to send to the passport office again. I would have thought they had scanned copies of my documents and/or would have been able to confirm my date of birth checking the Home Office records regarding my naturalisation, but they are unable or unwilling to do so. Luckily, after I resent the naturalisation certificate they corrected their mistake very quickly (one day after they received it back), and I was able to book the interview straight away.

We got a call back on 20.05. confirming that the mistake was corrected (we were told that we could not book an appointment without that confirmation)

I applied quite a while back in March. However, there were a few errors so had to redo it. Got a SMS on April 25th, my documents were returned a week or so later, but I've not received any further contact or an interview date. Also, judging by posts here, you should generally get your letter of interview prior to the return of your documents which hasn't happened with me. Should I be worried? It's been a month now.

No need to worry just call them, coz they say if you don't get letter around 4 weeks time then call us.

Same in my case. Didn't hear back from the IPS until 3 weeks after submission when I received my interview letter. It may be the start of the summer stampede however it would be reassuring if all applicants received acknowledgement for such an important application accompanied by valuable documents.

You may not receive an SMS but judging by average timelines your interview letter should be with you by this time next week.
