I applied quite a while back in March. However, there were a few errors so had to redo it. Got a SMS on April 25th, my documents were returned a week or so later, but I've not received any further contact or an interview date. Also, judging by posts here, you should generally get your letter of interview prior to the return of your documents which hasn't happened with me. Should I be worried? It's been a month now.

No need to worry just call them, coz they say if you don't get letter around 4 weeks time then call us.

Received passports for kids today 14/05/13 dated 10/05/13 its very quick received with in 2 weeks of application. But one of the child passport surname printed wrong. I have to send her passport back to them for correction and waiting for my and my wife interview call letter.

Same in my case. Didn't hear back from the IPS until 3 weeks after submission when I received my interview letter. It may be the start of the summer stampede however it would be reassuring if all applicants received acknowledgement for such an important application accompanied by valuable documents.

You may not receive an SMS but judging by average timelines your interview letter should be with you by this time next week.

PO check and send, I called them they have received the application but ths SMS system is under trail at the moment so it can be hit and miss. Call center explained that system is meant to send the sms as soon as they scan the application in the system, so if system didn't pick the number then NO SMS. My application is still under examination.

May be u need to call them and confirm did they received ur applications. Atleast u should have receive an acknowledgement text saying they received ur application. How did u submitted ur application through did u posted ur self or used a post office checking services. Hope everthing goes well for u.

Thanks. I have rung them and all's OK. I was informed that an interview booking letter was sent out yesterday which should arrive by mid week.

The point of an interview is to ascertain the ID of the applicant. Once the IPS is satisfied that you are who you say you are, then your application will be approved and passport issued.
