It's unclear to me in the guide so I just wanted to put this question to you guys thanks
I don't see GCSE as an acceptable list of English Test here:

https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/s ... r_2014.pdf

Are you referring to GESE?
No

I did my secondary school GCSEs and A levels here and now I am in my 3rd year of a 4 year course in the university. I don't know if there is a way to escape this without having to write another test since I haven't yet got my degree and all these where taught in English in the UK. Any advise will be appreciated

Hi Scottdougie I have the same timelines and have applied thru NCS. No fees deducted as yet...have been checking balance on hourly basis. Hope they don't take long for the decision or it doesn't get stuck between a big stack of applications.

Good luck and Keep posting updates!!

Application Timeline
Eligibility criteria: 3yr spouse of BC
Method of application: Royal Mail next day signed for
Date sent: 18/03/15
Date of receipt by UKBA: 19/03/15
Date of debit of fees:
Date of receipt of acknowledgement:
Date of receipt of approval:
Date of Ceremony:

I've yet the receive confirmation of receipt and no fees been taken.

I'm starting to wonder if it was delivered to the correct place.
The other problem I have is that I was out of the country on 4 April 2012 and am not sure if they count from when they send confirmation or from when they actually receive the application as in when they sign for it

I would feel a lot better if I knew they had it. Would it be worth calling to just to see if it had been delivered correctly?

What I have learn t through out my application process.

What ever you do, who ever you ask to write on your behalf to the Home Office, nothing will change their mind, from that immigration inspector's report on December have messed up all the process, they got an excuse to intermingle our hope, so I will advise everyone of us to be patient, don't over complicate your cases, don't send over something which the Home Office don't requested, remember if you send a document which may think it will simplify your case, I am sure it will ten times complicate.

There is thousands and thousands of backlog cases at the Home office stack rooms, they don't have a time to review each document, just simply send the essential documents, if you for example send a CRB check document, they may suspect and put your case on the desk bin.

Don't email them before the 6 months specified time, if you do; then your application may be delayed, that is what I have learn't

When you hit and passed the six months time, just ask your local Mp to contact them on your behalf, your Mp is more powerful than any other legal body, if you even pay a solicitor or legal team they don't give a shit, excuse my words, I mean it.

Patient is powerful tool, I will advise you myfriends to be patient, I know and fully understand I was out of patient, and I think the reason my case is delayed that long is I lost that patience.

I wish everyone of you for success and you will get your green or so called yellow envelopes soon.
Good Evening

I have called the home office this morning, After I provided my details with a male advisor, he promptly said to me "as stating on the system we have sent to you a decision letter yesterday Monday 30 march" when I asked whether the decision is approval or refusal he said "I am not allowed to mention on the phone"

I hope it will be approval as my case was very very simple, I applied on 29 of September and yesterday was on my six months annivarsary

I will update you the earliest I receive it.
Fingers crossed. Im sure its approval ;-)

Hi mate, why was county court invovled? this might be a question the home office will like to know to decide if you are off good character, if it was just to go through a divorce process then it will not be a problem, but make sure you say it on you form as they check everything, if you were arrested, been to court etc.

I received invitation form UKVI on 26/3/2015 (dated 18/3/2015) and booked private ceremony for 30/3/2015 as next availability for group ceremony was 20/4/2015. Did not want to wait due to other commitments. I have applied for passport straight away.

Best of luck to all waiting for their decisions. God bless you all.
