I have applied FSU last December and I have got letter from hom that asked me to send evidence and next day I have got letter for free biometric enrolment and then I have been given biometric enrolment month ago how long should I wait for to get respond from refuse case management
Is that positive sing or negative sing
I had similar experience, FSU in January. Was asked to send further evidence early March. following Day gotten biometric Enrolment letter, a week letter got our biometric enrolment done, and haven’t heard much since then.
Not entirely sure whether its positive thing or whether it is a routine that is being adapted recently.

Hello everyone, I hope we’re all staying safe and healthy.
Has anyone recently receive any decisions or message from the home office? As I’m not sure if they’re still deciding on asylum at the moment. I have a British child and they’re still taking significantly longtime. It’s been 9 months since I had my main interview and 1.5 years since I claimed asylum. I’m a single parent with six children and I don’t know why it’s taking soo long.
Any recent update from anyone would uplift my spirit right now so please let me know.
Thanks.

Hello Jay,
Thanks for the link. We have very similar timeline and hopefully good new before the end of the year🙏🏾.
They’re still making decisions as said on the link but they won’t make decisions on cases with vulnerability and mental health issues if it’s results in a refusal.

Hi I didn’t get preliminary questionnaire. I am not sure how they assess the cases. I had screening December 2018 and main interview August 2019.

What is meaning of " Shortage OCC " writes on my ARC. Am i allowed to work only jobs in that list or what?
Yes you are allowed to work in those specific listed jobs. Can you please tell us more about the type of your immigration application and did you apply for permission to work and how long it took before you were granted work permit. I applied myself but unfortunately did not get any response from the home office.
Apologize for my late reply.

I have applied working permission after i have waited for a year for FSU 's decision. And got my work permit if i remember right in 2 months. But before that i didn't know that i should wait for a year to apply and i have applied 1 time before completing year and posted some work skill document which i have irata level 1 qualification and welder as well. And after my work request declined because i haven't waited for 1 year and they didn't send my qualification document's back. After 1 year i applied just with single letter to FSU and mentioned before paperwork's. And at 2019 march, got wotk permit with the 'Shortage OCC' i think because of qualifications. But still waiting for a decision from FSU. Its been a while for me.

Hello jay,
I
I received the prelinery questionnaire before my interview and it for you to summarise you claim. They do more research based on what you write in there and to prepare your interview questions. Most of my interview questions asked were based on what I wrote in the questionnaire. The interviewer has been well prepared during my interview to flood me with questions.

Hello jay,
I live in mass accommodation and also get £37 a week for myself and my children. I’ve been in nass support since feb 2019 after I claim asylum.

Hello senu, I only send my new born son passport to the home office in February as he is British and they ask me for more of mind and my daughter medical evidence in may. I think I’d still have to wait for maybe 6 more months or earlier before they make decision because they’re really slow. I did not send any email for chase but after I send the evidence tomorrow and they don’t make a decision in two months then I’ll make complaint and chase up through solicitor and mp as it’ll have been around 1 year since I had main interview.
Also you can email them yourself (someone on this forum did few months ago) and apparently they’ll give you time frame.

Hello,
Thank you for your reply. I send my daughter's British citizen certificate last February and before that I sent bundle of evidence regarding my elder daughter's 7 years resident in UK October 2018. I used complaints email myself then they replied they will aim to make decision within six months but not guaranteed . before I complaint myself I contact the MP to do it behalf of me but HO didn't pass any useful information to MP only said they are working on it. so stressful cant understand why taking ages for making decision. even before covid 19 its very slow cant imagine how will be with this situation.

Wow!! That’s a very long time. The home office are seriously damaging people’s mental health with all this craziness. I guess I still have a long road ahead.

Hi senu,

I’ll keep you posted. I am on sub since 2019. You can always chase them regardless of the corona virus. We all know that the situation is even tougher then before but ho are working. There’s no harm in asking for an update regarding your case.

Hi Jay,
I'm agree with you but my solicitor keep telling me there will not be good response to chasing them now. before she doesn't want write to HO until six months of waiting from last update then now six months has been passed still she doesn't have interest to chase my claim. I have done everything whatever I can do to get update contacted the MP , sent complaint by myself but all of that wasn't useful. I'm going to contact my solicitor again regarding this tomorrow. Thank you for your reply. please keep us updating.

Hi senu,
You’re welcome. There’s no harm in asking HO for an update it won’t affect your case. Do it! :D it’s better to be proactive with your case as I heard with other people they just ignore it and they’re been waiting for years years and years. Lemme know please if your have any update.

Thanks
