I applied in person at the guy at the counter never asked for originals. He actually asked me twice even without looking at my docs "all are photocopies right if there are any originals in the set then take it back".PG1983 wrote:Well that is contrary to what is mentioned on the HCI website at this time. By post only send photocopies. If you are applying in person take your originals along. Depends on the person you get at the counter. Some ask to see the original documents while others dont. Hello, I applied on 25 Oct at HCI London and my status is also the same.. I think they take about two weeks to consider the appln for next stage of scanning photo etc..t1seeker wrote:Hi anyone knows how much time does it take for the online status to change

Passports received at London office : 25/10/2012 ( Royal Mail delay + Dasra holiday )
Stamped passports and OCI card received from London : 02/11/2012

This week is very crucial for you. See as to how application progresses and this week and then make the decision. Next week, there will be Diwali holidays in India as well as UK consulate so that will add more time to process. If your application gets dispatched from Delhi by end of this week or by next mid week, then you are OK. However, if things dont get sorted out by 20th november, then you should apply for visa in my opinion.
In any case - I would suggest - go in person for stamping

hi No i applied by post on 28sep , and it took them more than 3 week to acknowledge and my status is still same under process.
on other side my son oci is granted and printed on 2nd nov . we applied together but his application was acknowledged on 12 oct.
