So you mean he/she never got approved and got just the certificate straight on the post ?
It seems (from one of his previous posts) that he got his approval last February.

Now, the passport application journey, Due to COVID 19 Level 5 restrictions adviced that we can apply online but (DO NOT ) send any documents yet untill we move to Level 4 COVID 19 restrictions.
The reason is that you need to post a number of documents to them for a first-time application. Level 5 prevents any staff from travelling to the work place at the moment, so nobody will be in the office opening envelopes during this period.

You should apply only when the restriction is reduced to Level 4 or below, when passport office staff can return to the work place.

Of course you can fill in your application form now and get Gardai to sign your application form etc. Just don't send anything to the passport office.
May thanks littlerr.
I have decided to apply online and hold on sending the documents untill level 4 restrictions are in place ( Hopefully by March)

Hi MiMi,

Is this possible for you to check with Police in Belfast that you can travel to Dublin to submit this document? Hope they will allow (as I can see you waited for these 2 + years) all the very best 👍🏻

Travelling from NI just for witnessing a declaration for citizenship is not an essential travel.
Don't risk being fined.

I don’t think they will say nothing if your going to submit a important letter

Hello all

Can anyone please advise on which commissioner for oaths, solicitor, or a peace commissioner who is authorised to take and receive statutory declarations. The ones that I have contacted are telling me they are not doing anything until restrictions have been lifted. I have noticed some have got their citizenship certificates already. I cant wait forever especially after having waited for 2 years. County Meath or Dublin preferably but don't mind travelling if push comes to shove.

Posting contacts details of legal professional is not allowed on the forum.
Try better, or just wait until lock down ends and legal services providers reopen.

Hello,
I advise you to call all the lawyers in your area, I am sure you will get one that will accept to sign it. I got mine signed after calling all the lawyers in the county. if I was you I would not wait until the lockdown is lifted, anyone advising you otherwise I am sure they wouldn't wait themselves.
Best of luck to you

Has there been any indication since on when the next set of naturalization certificates would be sent out?

The first set was sent 3 weeks after the first set of affidavits and as of today it's been 3 weeks since the second set of affidavits.

I am still waiting for the certificate (received the email with an affidavit on 20/01 and my signed declaration was delivered on 27/01). I think my issue is that my declaration was witnessed in NI by a NI solicitor (my best shot in the lockdown conditions). I sent them an email asking if there is an issue with my declaration and received a copy-paste reply "wait 6 weeks, then contact us".

Well, it took 3 weeks for mine to come (counting after the day I sent the affidavit), so stay tuned.

Anyone here who got approved and paid the fee in jan/feb 2020 still waiting on affidavit to be emailed to them like myself :/ ?
I know they said “phased” basis but it’s disheartening to see that there is no order to this at all when people only newly approved since October have started receiving theirs. Happy for everyone who does, just sucks waiting so long and nothing still...
Hi Everyone,
Yes I got approval letter back in February 2020. I submitted €950 photographs and Garda card, but still waiting for affidavit since. Is anyone else waiting same time.
Similar situation, got approval letter last February 2020 and paid fee. Missed out on ceremony and then Covid struck. Still waiting for the email regarding affidavit.

I would email them and state all that and also the fact that people who only paid recently have also received affidavits. That was what I did and their response was we already sent you your email but will paste again here for you. Now I now for a fact no email was sent to me originally as I was checking my emails every day since the announcement. My guess is they may have not sent it correctly or even to wrong email. There is no harm asking them again as they may realise their mistake. That’s what happened for me anyway and I got the affidavit quite swiftly after that
