10 years long residence applications

To all the new applicants ......This year the processing times are at least 13 to 16 weeks of wait ...., this is far better than 2013 where the average wait while 18 to 22 weeks....you agree or not this far better work from HO email office ..although everyone wants it quicker


So everyone 14.5 weeks is the basis so don't get anxious before hitting that ....happy waiting and please don't mess with tracker

Mianraza and pareshthapa. Aug applicants ........I saw these approved once and requested than to confirm on forum if it true or false ......they never bothered seems they got their approvals and may be thought no pint in forum

If you are getting ILR on 10 year LR bases then your lawyer is nor right..your wife have to wait 5 more year. My wife is in UK 2004, but HO issues her 2.5 year visa.

Hi All;

After the drastic changes in immigration rules on 06/04/2014, pre 9th July, 2012 PBS dependents won't be able to combine any time spent as PBS dependent with FLR(M) to qualify for ILR and their qualifying time period of 5 years will start from the day they are granted an FLR(M), if the main applicant gains indefinite leave to remain based on 10 years of long residence.

I am sure there would be hundreds including me who are being affected adversely with this change in rules because this means that we are no more covered under the transitional arrangements - Part 8.

We are now about to challenge the rule as we have nearly done our research with Barristers and now we are on the stage of challenging the rule. We need people who are affected by this rule to join us

my wife came in 2007 as a dependant I was on student visa ,, now im going to apply for ILR, after I get my indedfinate my wife can switch from dependant to spouse visa and then she can apply for ILR even the next day after she get spouse visa ,, this is what my lawyer told me few days back, is it true?

but if she doesn't want to wait for 5 years she can still apply for Ilr in next 2 years because in 2017 she will be entitled to apply for ilr in the long term residency basis ?

Point to note is the accompanying letter is not an approval letter in my opinion. Just states your documents are enclosed. I wonder if that's same for everyone.

ALHAMDULLILAH: I have received my approval today..

Royal mail till last morning @ 00:00 did not update my status but suddenly today delivery arrived. Now i have checked the status and the status is delivered... lolzzzzzzz

Since you already got freedom so keep all evidence which make you inconvenient about accessing post even after paying the redirection services and ask for heavy compensation. If possible the relevant royal worker staff asses must be stamped with burned irons. They will try to make you happy by offering 1st class stamps when you complained but don't accept that rather ask for refund of redirection costs plus return envelope price plus the ticket you bought.

There's no way RM are getting away with the hassle, stress and issues they have caused me... I will ask for compensation as well as the cost of replacing the documents if they had in fact gone lost.

Dear Everyone,

Please can anyone help me with DX contact number?

I received my approval letter since on the 26th of November 2014 and few days later I send email to the biometric delivery team and they confirmed that the card has been issued and it will be with me within 3 to 7 working days.
Is been over 5 working days now and there is no sign of DX. So I wanted to contact them to know if my BRP card is with them.

not sure if you've had a response for this but the number is 0844 371 0000. press * to skip all the bu**s***t and straight to a rep. tell them your post code and they should be able to track your delivery for you.

Hello Dear Admin, I would like to ask about my wife Spouse Visa FLR(M).

I received my wife FLR(M) Decision yesterday, mentioned that they did not accept my (sponsor's income threshold £25,000), because i did not sent my Original Bank statement but they did accept my wife income threshold which is £10,000 was not enough to reached required amount of 18,600. Apart from bank statement they accepted my Payslips/P60/Job Confirmation Letter etc.

i sent some original and some online banking prints bank statement, because i was running out of time when i asked for further documentation so i sent some online statements.

But they issued visa to my wife .... Consideration has been given under paragraph R-LTRP.1.1 (a), (b) and (d) of appendix FM wich include the expectations paragraph EX.1(a) and (b). you have a parental relation with a child and it is not reasonable to expect that child to leave the United Kingdom.

Because of your particular circumstances, you have been granted leave to remain within the immigration rules under D-LTRP.1.2 of Appendix FM. 30 Months with permission to work.

My Wife came to UK in April 2008 on my dependent visa (Tier4 Student dependant). Her 10 years will complete on

1. What is the Dis-Advantages or Bad about Discretionary leave to Remain?

2. Is that will be difficult to extend visa in future as FLR(M)? because my wife will need one year more leave to remain to complete her 10 years for ILR(LR) at the end of her current leave to remain which she just given now.

3. Shall i go for Administration Review ? with my original Bank Statement?

Please Advise me i need some clarifications.

1. in 2006, I had a NI10 conviction, which I was officially convicted in 2007. As a newly passed driver I had 6points, lost my licence and paid around £250 as fine. The points were taken off in 2012. I think the conviction is spent. I had a CRB check last year which showed nothing. I am wondering, do I have to declare it as criminal offence in my application form? I consulted a lawyer, who suggested me not to tick in criminal conviction section but to declare it as '6 spent driving offence points ' in the empty space at the end of section E; would it be a good idea?
2. I have a CCJ against me, which was made in Aug 2014. I have a payment plan and paying instalment monthly. Do I have to declare it as a civil penalty (or in the same section). Would it affect my application.
3. How long the application takes to process by the UKBA now a days?

Please follow your lawyer suggestion.

As long as you are paying your debt in instalments it should be fine. It is worth checking online, I cant remember but there is a website where you can see your status.
3. How long the application takes to process by the UKBA now a days?
Based on current trend, If your application is straight forward then it should take between 14-20 weeks. However, HO standard timeframe is 6 months.

Not sure but this is probably HO last full working week prior to Xmas break and I believe they will be busy in reducing the august backlog, so don't expect and miracle and September applications will likely by considered in January next year.
