Application has been decided online on 8th December. Still I haven't received anything yet.

I am also one of those whose status changed to "Decided" on historical date 8th December still waiting for letter to arrive. i see people have started to receive letters now gives me beam of hope. stay blessed all.

Any one who applied in September still waiting? Have seen October and November applicants being approved, some in a month! Have been waiting for 3 months now and looks like most September applications have been dealt with. Hope I dont have to wait 6 months...

I applied on 3rd October. Biometrics were recorded on 14th October. Status updated to Decided on 8th December but still waiting for Approval letter, emailed them at 3 different addresses but no proper response yet. #beinghopeful

i just called my council with my case id i got from HO email received on receipt of application. they say they could not retrieve my details.

i also just found a online link for my council to book cermony. there too it asks for home office reference number where i have given case id. there too it could not retrieve my details.

so chances are that case id is not same as home office reference number or my application may not have been approved. As few people confirmed ..its the same, i am sensing the worst .. feeling low. Good luck to others.

I received my citizenship approval letter today dated 01 dec 2017 and asked me to contact local council barkingand dabenham register office within 21 days. but i applied in redbridge council.

Now the thing is...i am left only with 3 days of 21 days period as the letter was reached only today. i have literally tried to contact barking and dabenham register office through phone atleast 50 times...but none of the time, the call is picked. I even sent a mail.

What are the options left for me now... pls advise. if i cant reach them witjin next 3 days..wat i can do. i googled about that register office and many people commented they never pick up call.. pls advise guys

As i left 2 voice messages to them with my case id and phone no...luckily they saw that and called me back. i booked private ceremony for 3rd jan. thanks for everyones suggestions and help. Good luck to everyone who are waiting.. As it came to my local council instead of the one that i applied...you can try your luck with both of the councils (if dey are diff) with your case id no and book your ceremony (as dat confirms ur approval too). All the best to everyone...

I was quite shocked last night at the Ceremony a gentleman's family sat down in the hall and waited for him while his documents were checked ( His invitation letter etc) He returned to his family and told them his certificate had been cancelled they left. It seems you can be rejected up to the last minute in extreme circumstances if something comes to light.Why they didn't inform him seemed unfair.

I have sent an e-mail 2 days ago to citizenship.support@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk asking to send me my letter via email as I have seen some members recieve email letter. And I just got an reply!!!

"Good Morning Sir,

Thank you for your email. Below is a copy of your invitation for your records, this can be printed out and presented at your ceremony and will be accepted by your local authority."

Then it follows with the whole approval letter.

The most sincere Good Luck to everyone who's waiting. The lack of transparency in this process is a absolute killer UKVI should really send this letters at least signed for delivery so that we have a record.

Can you pleaste tell me what info. you gave to council? I tried to contact my council but they said I need approval letter from HO. Did you provide them you HO ref number?

I'm waiting since July. An email response last week suggested that a communication has been posted and can take up to 3 weeks Why cant they just send it via next day delivery!!

My application status was changed to decided on 8th Dec and like everyone else I couldn’t check afterwards as website went down.

Didn’t receive any letter up until today , I called my local council on Monday and they took my details and asked me to wait for their call which I got back yesterday and I was told that they received my certificate . Next group appointment was on 10th of jan so I asked for private ceremony and was given date for today - which I booked and the guy mentioned that I could attend without invitation letter , so I’ve just attended ceremony and those who are witing can try ringing their local council .
