Do you mean July 2015 or 2016? If 2015 I think they may have lost your application and/or you have grounds to request a judicial review

No I actually mean July 2015. My lawyer said that it's up to us if we want to wait until july this year or not. He's not being very helpful that's why I came here. Do you think we can request a judicial review now or just send them a reminder letter again, sent one dec last year?

I would say first send them a reminder letter and wait 2-4 weeks for a reply (I know...it's ludicrous that you have to wait at all). Remember to send all letters signed for (1pm guaranteed is best, but expensive).

If they don't get back to that letter I'd say a JR would be your best option on the grounds that they are taking an unreasonable time frame to consider your application. It's a FLR(FP) application right? I would think you have even more of a reason to apply for a JR if it is, based on your application being human rights based.

Is your partner legally remaining at the moment, while the app is being considered?

No, It's a 7 year child concession case, we applied in 2015 when my child spent 7 years here after a failed asylum case earlier which took our right to work here. This makes it even harder for us to wait.

Hi Dylan and anyone else interested in the FLR FP processing time, had some news via my solicitor as I have become even more frustrated with now a 8 month wait.

HO are processing applications for FLRFPs for May/June at the moment. It's first come first served so still waiting. We submitted in August and biometrics in Nov 2016.

Expect another 4-6 week wait. It's really nerve wracking to wait, I have a plan in place in the scenario of a rejection: Go premium and ensure whatever rejection there is, ensure that it's fulfilled. Hope everyone else will continue to update the timeline so we can track what is going on.

Thanks! The problem for me is my husband is currently an overstayer due to a combination of errors made by our past solicitor. A reporting centre, with our nearest being hundreds of miles away in Liverpool isn't really an option for us due to the risk of detention. Thanks for the update though, hopefully your application gets somewhere and quickly

Although it really isn't ideal with all this waiting, and it really is ridiculous that it's legal for the HO to keep people waiting as long as you have been, it really is just a case of wait and see what happens with your case.

I'd say though, as before, if you send another reminder to them and you don't hear back within 2-4 weeks then you should speak to you solicitor about the possibility of going down the Judicial Review route, although bear in mind it will be expensive and there's a good chance you'll be shot down at the first hurdle.

Yes, unfortunately. We have asked our solicitor to send an other reminder, let's see what happens. We are keeping JR as a last resort, hopefully it wont come to that. Thanks for your advice and I hope your husband's papers get sorted soon.

Hello there. That's really good news that you have been contacted. This is a usual formality so they can formulate a decision. If you check the timeline thread, most people get a decision within 10 days of posting the additional documents. Keeping fingers crossed for us all. Best of luck to you

I know it doesn't help but you really need to just wait. Try to make the best of your situation and take your mind to focusing on the things you do have. All any of us can do throughout these ridiculously difficult HO processes is focus on the good things that we have and not allow them to bring our mood down.

We all just need to hope that the HO will accept our applications. Especially because you have a child with your partner, you need to focus on spending quality time with them instead of worrying about the HO.

The wait is mental torture . I also submitted my FLR fp application since August 2016 and yet to get any response from the HO, about almost 10 months now. However I was able to track the status of my application using my ref number or case no on thelink below;

where it said my application was awaiting a decision. Not sure if anyone is aware of the above home office link. At least it made me know what's going on. You should check you application status there if your not aware of it.

I applied August 31st of last year and the application status was updated on April 21st too, to say "Awaiting Decision".

Have you tried calling the HO? I know they usually provide no information whatsoever, I'm on hold at the moment waiting to ask them for an update...
