Many of us will have to spend the night there

Guys do you think this invitation letter ? because it clearly confirm that i am scheduled for the ceremony 21.05.2018.

Do you think i should expect another letter ?

I have a stamp on my passport until 30th may and i sent a scanned copy by e-mail.

Here is a copy of the letter i got from INIS.


Dear [XXX]

I am directed by the minister for justice and equality to refer to your application for naturalization.

I acknowledge your correspondence received in this office and any document enclose.

Please note that , an applicant is required to have permission to remain in the state right up to of naturalization, it has been noted that your permission to remain expired on 17.04.2018 and you are scheduled to attend citizenship ceremony on the 21.05.2018.

Therefore please now arrange to have your permission extended until 21.05.2018 and forward same to this office.

Applied in June 2015 based on 5 years EUFAM which was approved in Dec 2009, also approved 10 years EAUAM after 5 years stamp expired. Got approval letter on 18th April 2018. Just send today €950 along with 2 passport size photos and orignal GNIB. Hopefully will be invited to next ceemoney as they mention in my approval letter. If you wish be in inclusion in next Citizenship ceremony it is essential that you submit the €950 naturalisation fee and the documents listed, no later that 10 days of this letter. Good luck to all.

I would say so. Although it is more than nothing, it does not seem to be the invitation.

I've got my letter to attend the ceremony! Good Luck people and don't forget if you are not driven as me, to check the buses and trains timetables as it might be fully booked on those days.

Hi can you post your timeline, When you got approval latter and after sending them €950 bank draft when you receive cermoney letter please?

It seems to says that you only have to reply/email them if you can't go.

The exact wording is: ATTENDING A CITIZENSHIP CEREMONY IS MANDATORY. IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO DO SO, PLEASE NOTIFY US VIA EMAIL AT: CITIZENSHIPINFO@JUSTICE.IE. NOTE: NON-CONFIRMATION OF ATTENDANCE WILL RESULT IN SIGNIFICANT DELAY IN SCHEDULING YOU FOR A FUTURE CEREMONY.

This seems a bit contradictory though. I plan to drop them a message to confirm my partners attendance anyway (because of the part after NOTE above).

You could email them and ask if they've sent the letter or not.

invitations are currently issuing.

@Bobu & Napster when did you guys write ?

Its seems they are quite busy i wrote last Thursday still no response (usually its 2-3 days)

so i had to post my updated visa page by anpost to be sure they get it

Anyway in regards to ceremony there plenty time lets say until next week and then 7-6 day before ceremony they will publish the list of attendance which also helpful if you letter is still in transit

i guess they didnt respond to mine because i was already informed by letter that i am scheduled for the next ceremony and just need my updated visa to send invitation letter. It is then very likely they responded to my e-mail by sending my invitation which i should hopefully get this week...

it will come when you stop checking you door and wondering what happens next.


My only problem is to know the ceremony time well ahead to decide if i need to sleep there or not

Hi guys, i got my approval on April 17th. I e mailed them on Tuesday and they replied to me that they have received my documents, but "this office is now Fully subscribed. We will be in touch with you in the due course".

My friend got approval around February and she received the invitation today to attend on May 21st.

I believe i have no choice but to wait for the next one, hopefully it ll be due in a few months...

Hopefully we wont have to wait very long until the next ceremony. Although, they did say to me that my application has not moved forward on the day of the approval . I'm hoping that they gave me the wrong info this time too

I got INV letter dated 2nd may for 2 PM ceremony
