The question I have got around this is, what if I don't get the OCI done by the time my visa expires? Will I be violating rules?

If you start from Day 1, you got 60 days of e-visa validity to complete OCI and Surrender.

Just so you know- I went for the e visa. Couldn't take the stress of any mishaps with OCI later.
