No I just had derivative residence card under zambrano after court appeals in 2014. Settled status after 5 years. I'll try take a picture of my card when I received and show u was supposed to be delivered today but missed it.hopefully ur good news on the way fingercŕoss.

Do you get your DRC under the UK immigration rule known as Leave to remain as a parent of a child in UK which is private life 2.5years.... I’m a bit confused about DRC as a Zambrano. DRC can only be attained via EU law . It called Derivative residence card.. Having that gives you 99% of a successful application with the right evidence and supporting documents.

I never had the 2.5 years as I never applied. Was still on my first DRC.

Not sure of the exact dates but will give rough time line please;
Called HO on the 2nd of May
Received a call back the next day.
Another call from HO after 8 days.
Received form about mid May.
Filled and submitted back in first of June.
Got biometric letter in July about second week.
Did my first biometrics after 2 days of receiving the letter.(July).
Got COA in August around 12th
Settled status granted on the 12th Sept
Old DRC expiring 14th Sept.

This is very reassuring, as I never had leave to remain , only DRC, I’m on my second drc card, which expires in 2024. I hope for the same good news.

Thanks. I got pre-settled status because my son was registered as a British citizen when he was 10 and he's 14 now. So technically I have only been a Zambrano carer for 4 years. I will try for settled status next year August when it will be his 5th year as a British citizen
