I just read the case worker instructions.it seems the form will be returned if the signature is older than six months so one month I'd perfectly fine

Help please about my listening and Speaking test?

Post by Manchester171 » Mon Aug 03, 2015 8:21 am

I have passed the listening and speaking exams and got the certificate on October 2014. Awarded by City and Guilds under the title Level 2 award which was titled in the College where I registered under ESOL skills for life. I know I can use it in my citizenship application next month as it is valid until November 15. However I feel confuse when I have checked in the transitional recognized list on Home Office web site and found my certificate is awarded by Cambridge and not by City and Guilds. Is there any problem about that?

English requirements in AN form. Where I suppose to tick?

Post by Manchester171 » Fri Aug 07, 2015 8:15 am

Would you advice me please regarding the English requirements where I suppose to tick in AN form?

1.23 If you have a speaking and listening qualification in English at B1 CEFR or higher, or an equivalent level qualification, is it

A test that is on the Home Office list of approved tests
A test that is on the Ofqual register or awarded by the Scottish Qualifications Authority

I have passed ESOL skills for life speaking and listening level 2 awarded by City and Guilds on Sep 2014.

I have found an answer to my query on Cambridge web site and very informative link regarding the new English requirements for UK visa and immigration purpose

Currently, UKVI will also accept an Ofqual regulated test for this category. The test must cover Speaking and
Listening at B1 level. Ofqual regulated tests include Cambridge English: Preliminary, First and ESOL Skills for Life entry 3

Thanks for the Moderators anyway.
