No problem. I know original one will be older. Home Office just want to see an "up to date" award letter so something dated within 3 months i'd say. So ask DWP to send you award letter which confirms award. You can then submit it with both original and new letter together.

Date of application is when you submit application online.

So only one bank statement for ESA as well? It can be from the last 12 months?

We will supply one that is very recent, but just for information, its good to know.

Yes, they just want to see ESA payment went into account. They are much more relaxed with social benefit proofs than they are when you are proving you meet financial requirements via work, self-employment and saving route.
