Goodluck! Keep us posted.
Dear Tier11417,
I have managed to book an appointment at Croydon Premium Service Center this coming Tuesday 2 April.
I have all the documents ready - scanned and uploaded. Anyhow, I know this is very last minute, but I have a question regarding the cover letter.
Since I’m applying ILR for myself first, should I mention that I will be applying for my wife and son as dependants, my 19 year son as separate applicant after I got my PR status granted. I know that I should mention about registering my UK born children in the letter.
Below is my cover letter. Do you think I have mentioned everything that I should? Is there anything else I should add?
And just one more thing please, what set should I use when applying for my dependants after I’ve granted my PR status? Is it set O? I know for my 19 year old son , I should use set M.
Thank you very much for your assistance (again).
Dear Sir/Madam,
Application for Indefinite Leave to Remain in the UK
I, XXXXXXXXX wish to apply for Indefinite Leave to Remain in the UK. After I was granted permanent resident’s status, my wife and my 17 year old son will then apply for Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) as my dependants. My 19 year old son also will be applying for ILR as a separate applicant. I will also then register my three UK born children as British citizens, as stated under Section 1(3) of the British Nationality Act. I have continuously lived in the UK from 24 April 2013 under the Tier 2 (General) category, CoS reference numbers are XXXXXX and XXXXXXX (extension) as stated in the employer letter. Prior to this I have lived in the UK under Work Permit (reference number: XXXXXX) from 13 September 2005 to Jun 2010.
Absence from UK:
In the past 5 years I have been absent from the UK only for 257 days in total. I have provided a detailed schedule on this. Also, I am submitting my employer letter confirming the nature of these occasions of travel outside UK.
Knowledge of language and life in the UK:
I have passed the IELTS test in March 2013.
Both my wife and I have passed the Grade 5, GESE B1 from Trinity College London. Our son also has passed the same GESE test. Original pass certificates are attached,
My wife, our son, and I have passed the Life in the UK test. Pass certificates are submitted as evidence.
Section 12A – Your Finances:
I am submitting pay slips and bank statements for the past 3 months under Section 9A. The same can be considered under this section as well.
I trust the information I have provided is satisfactory. To keep the application simple, I have only submitted the supporting documents that are essential in my opinion. However, today I am carrying various other additional documents ready for submission should you have any queries.
Thank you.
Yours faithfully,
