The question clearly asks date of first entry in UK. Do not compare AN application with ILR application. You are not making an immigration application.

It is the date you entered UK with the intention of a long stay.

Residence requirement is based on last 5 years if you are applying in your own right. HO knows the rules.

Is that be OK if I choose "Yes" and provide below information?
1. In Immigration History section - mentioned approx. application submission dates and biometric dates
2. In Employment History section - mentioned approx. start and end dates

or choose "No" and provide above information in covering letter?

There is a question in the form "Do you have any dependants not applying with you at this time?" - I answered YES. is this correct? (as my wife and children are in UK but are still on Tier 2 visa).

also, can a friend act as a referee ? (He is working in a company but not as a manager or director) - Some where I read that referee must be manager or director of the company.

I thought to apply for citizenship now but after 2months I wanted to change my address.
In the application, is there an option to provide correspondence address?

Can't comment what options you get to fill in addresses. Perhaps you could add a note with the correspondence address and start date.
Alternatively, bearing in mind the general backlog in approvals and ceremonies I would wait and apply once you have moved - would avoid dealing with another variable.

one of my referee is a british citizen but his passport expired 3 months back and he is not planning renew it now.. Can I still go ahead with this referee?

None of those documents are required as you are under UK ILR.
Your passport(s) with stamps in/out covering the period are sufficient for residency.
