Thanks.
Yes, that is the question.
I thought that they are also required.

Hi Experts,
During the naturalisation application, there is section to select county for citizenship ceremony.
Are there counties that one can select from to make it faster?
If yes, how can one find out?
Thanks.

We don't really know which council will be faster, and by the time you have the approval a reputedly fast council may have slowed down, or vice versa.

Thank you alterhase58 and other gurus.

Another question.

If an application is previously withdrawn, are we still expected to include it in the section that asks for “Previous application details” in naturalisation application?

thanks

Thank you very much alterhase58 and other gurus.

I have a few couple of questions and I am combining them here.

1. If an application is previously withdrawn, are we still expected to include it in the section that asks for “Previous application details” in naturalisation application?

2. Do one need to cover letter for naturalization application?

3. Under the documents checklist: “Your marriage or civil partnership certificate”
4. Please why does it say “It You can send a photocopy of your spouse or partner’s passport - you must photocopy every page of the passport”.

5. Under the documents checklist: It says “Bank statements or household bills are not suitable proof you have been living in the UK”. Please what can be used?

Many thanks.

1. If an application is previously withdrawn, are we still expected to include it in the section that asks for “Previous application details” in naturalisation application? Not sure but if you have withdrawn effectively it hasn't been processed/decided.

2. Do one need to cover letter for naturalization application? None required - you are of course free to attach one if you wish to explain something in more detail.

3. Under the documents checklist: “Your marriage or civil partnership certificate”
4. Please why does it say “It You can send a photocopy of your spouse or partner’s passport - you must photocopy every page of the passport”.
Well, you need to submit this - scan and upload with the other documents.

5. Under the documents checklist: It says “Bank statements or household bills are not suitable proof you have been living in the UK”. Please what can be used? It's just your passport(s) covering the residency period. This relates to EU citizens whose passports don't get stamped, or if you are submitting an expired passport.

Many thanks.

Thank you very much alterhase58.

Please is there any rule that determines when not to carry out biometric.

For example can one go for biometric twice within a year even if the first one is very successful.

For naturalisation you are always required to have the biometric appointment, even if you had them taken three months earlier, it's the case for all applications. There's no discretion. As far as I know.

This is a great question, and I am also not sure about the answer. I would think it won't hurt to include the withdrawn application as long as it is clear that it's withdrawn. I'm not sure if there is space for comments? I'm also pondering this.

As I am going through the same process, could I ask how long it took for your application to be withdrawn? Did you receive a refund of the fees?

As in... days? weeks? months? I have been trying to get even an acknowledgement from the Home Office after three weeks of requesting the withdrawal, and I have heard nothing. See this post.

You... did not request why you did not get a refund of £1330??? ??? ???

OK thanks.
If you did not receive a refund and you withdrew before enrolling biometrics, you should make a complain.
