Thanks for this tip. I used the Immigration ID check app and I am a little confused by the email received as it first says I will receive a BRP. Further down it says

“ You can view and prove your immigration status online, via the ‘view and prove your immigration status’ service – https://www.gov.uk/view-prove-immigration-status. This online service provides a secure record and proof of your immigration status which is held digitally by the Home Office and which is available to you at all times. This service is made available to you instead of a Biometric Residence Permit.

Employers, landlords or other organisations may need to check your immigration status to see if you are allowed to work, rent somewhere to live or access public services.”

I tried this and it is already updated with my renewal details.

This site also indicates that you do not receive a BRP if you used the Immigration ID Check App for Biometrics.

Any ideas? I will post this on a new thread as well.

The issuance of a BRP depends on your citizenship. If you're a national of a country that enjoys visa-free access to the UK (short-term/tourist visits), you'll not be issued with a BRP as it is redundant. Your immigration status within the UK has been digitalised. However, if you're from a country that doesn't have visa-free access to the UK, you will be issued with a BRP.

Definitely not from a visa-free country, so I will await BRP!

FYI: I am still awaiting for my BRP so probably there's some delay going on in getting it produced and delivered.

Did you contact them after 10 days as they say you should if not received in 10 days?

Received my BRP today only 3 days after decision. Looks like at least that is still being issued fast!

Congrats; luckily worked out for you quite well before your travels. I'm still waiting to get a decision on the wife's application. The entire UKVI is in a total state of disorder.
