Thanks zimba, that would mean another new application for 5 year route?

Also can I ask if the meter would start from 0? or it would still take into account the day my wife landed in Britain after 4 days overstay until now?


Just wanted to know her options for ILR.

I have put the case to a solicitor as well awaitin recommendations

The day of entry is not relevant at all. Under 5 year family route, she needs to have residence for 5 years under the family route for ILR. Her date of visa grant after a successful FLR(M) application will be the starting point.

Note that time spent under the 10-year family route will not count under the 5-year route, which is why I suggested not accepting the offer and instead moving her to the 5-year route. That way she either can apply for ILR under the 5-year family route or the long residence, whichever route she qualifies for sooner.
