Dear everyday, I am sorry to read about your situation but I am afriad there is nothing much you can do about this.

The only suggestion i can give you is to take one of following actions:

1. Get your local MP to write a letter to UKBA and demanding quick action
2. Lodge a formal complaint to UKBA
3. Write a request letter to UKBA yourself and request to expediate the procedure.

I have seen people waiting for more than 6-8 months for the result of their applications..........

if u remember me i also recd my case after 4 months. just wait be positive and don't think abt any complaint because it is useless and give bad impression on youe application. u 'll defientely get your visa very soon.........xx

@bt & Rizwan: bt, i still remember your case because you and me were the both frustrated and waited longest but luckily you passed through this killing wait but i am still stuck. You got you Visa and documents back right after four months and seven days. So could you tell me did you call them or complain or just stayed quite and waited??? Today full four months have passed since i applied. I do not know how long i shall have to wait???
Rizwan, Thank you for your suggestion, i think i better wait little bit more then contact them as i have observed couple of cases who waited too long like me. Anyways i keep my finger crossed. Thank you.

Mr. Rizwan: I applied within the country for Tier1 General on 28th January 2010 and waiting for my documents back since then. I do not know why they are taking too long to decide? I am now sick of this wait and its killing me because its now four months since my case is under consideration and i do not know what to do? How to track my application? I note from the timelines of last 15-25 posts that almost all the Tier 1 G applicants are from outside the UK. No one has applied from within the UK???????

i have applied for tier 1 on 7th may vfs bang and still the status says under process...has anyone who applied during the same period got a VISA stamped?

I applied within the UK. I had a chat with my case worker and was told that they have posted the documents today.

Did the caseworker contact you personally through phone/email/snail mail? Did they ask any questions for clarifications on your case?

Application date: 07-05-10.
Status: dispatched to BHC chennai: 07-05-10.
Status: Under process with BDHC: 12-05-10.
Status: Under process with BHC: 31-05-10.

will update if there are any changes in status.

"Application approved" message: 7th June 2010

Waiting for the passport and documents.

May 28th - Application and biometrics submitted.
May-28th - Forwarded to BHC
June 1st - Application under process
June 9th - Application in transit
June 9th - Passport ready for collection

Visa approved.

Yeah I applied on the 24th of May, Pune VFS and got the visa on 7th June.

NOTE:- I applied only for myself and not my wife.

I have my Tier 1 General visa(for 3 years) obtained in May 2008 and it expires in May 2011. Can someone advice how much in advance I can apply for my extension? I have heard that this can be done up to 6 months in advance. Can some one please provide the correct info on this?

Hi all,

I am very thankful to this forum for all the help i received related to my T-1 Visa application. I received my VISA stamped.

My timeline:
Applied: 20/05/10
Date 20/05/10 -> application forwarded to BHC
Date 25/05/10 -> application is under process at BHC
Date 15/06/10 -> Processed VISA application dispatched by Blue Dart
Date 16/06/10 -> Received Stamped passport

Hence current time : 3-4 weeks

I have applied from VFS Pune with dependents.
