Big confusion

Post by citizen1000 » Sun Feb 28, 2010 8:50 am

Dear all specially Eskar, London102 & chzishan
  • I was just looking at my acknoledgement letter & it says North west Region nationality team
i am not sure why North weest because i Live in South East of England.
secondaly their reference number start with the first alphabet of my name.

Can you all check if all cases or dealt by North west region & secondly the reference number alphabet, does it corelate with your surname?

    Thanks

Hi citizen1000,

This has been discussed a long back somewhere on the forum. This is correct (as can be seen on form AN too) that all nationality applications are sent to Liverpool, which is north western region for UKBA. Hence the mention of North Western team on the acknowledgement letters.
The reference number also starts with the first letter of applicants surname, as is the case with me too.

Thnaks Eskar & LOndon102
So I gather from both of your reply that
1) All the aplications are dealt by North west team, regardless of the location of the applicant
2) the reference number usually start with the first alphabet of the the surname but not always, as the reference number of eskar is diferent.

Any thoughts

citizen1000,

Another thing may be of interest to you that my reference number has remaind same from first extension to naturalization. I belong to 1+3+4 group and an affectee of the changes made on April 2006. All correspondance that I have ever received from UKBA bore the same reference number.

i suppose your ref num is the same one which got when you applied for ILR. i dint have indivdual reference number when i got my ILR me and my parents have one reference number for 3 of us start with my dad surname. so i dint put anything in reference colum in naturalisation application form eventhough NCS lady put a number from ilr visa which is not actually the real refernce number.

well then i cant figure out how come my council is too slow in receving certificate. @ 12 Feb they received certificate for people who applied between 30 Nov to 5 Jan. she impliedly also told me to wait for 2/3 weeks.

i just got question to all.

i did life in the UK test twice as i lost the the pass notification letter for the 1st one. i send the 2nd pass notification letter but did not mention that i attempt twice and lost the firstone. does it may cause delay as they might see i have attempt twice and pass both of them and create suspence.

then again i am not sure how they check it. if they search it by the reference number then its fine but if they search by my name , DOB or passport number then both of them will turn up.

Thanks London102,

I'm sure your decision is positive. Anything things elase would have meant they would have asked further questions. If they have decided without seeking further information, its always positive.

Hi Eskar
i dont think passing LIUK twice should be a problem
London102
I checked my refernce number on the acnoledgement letter its different from my ILR backdated letter but both starts with my Surname

ANOTHER THING, WHEN WE CHAT TO EACH OTHER ON THE FORUM,ITS NOT GOING TO AFFECT THE TIME OF APPLICATION SO I WAS JUST THINKING WHY WE ARE ALL HERE.
tHEN I THOUGHT THAT ALTHOUGH ITS NOT AFFECTING THE TIME TAKEN FOR APPLICATION BUT ITS A BIT OF SUPPORT IN THA WAITING TIME . WE THINK THAT THERE ARE OTHER PEOPLE IN THA SAME BOAT AS WELL.
MAY ALLAH APPROVE OUR APPLICATIONS

It doesn't matter any which way they check. If you passed both times then stop worrying about this. Whatever shows up its going to be a 'PASS'.

BTW they check by the reference number.

Hi citizen1000,

I have also seen a different reference number on acknowledgement letters of my friends. However in my case it has been same.

I guess they use reference number for certificate.
