Dear forum

urgent help required last week my solicitor send PAP to HO brief is
that its been month and still further check , how long will it take it was straight forward case
And SSHD did not give reason of complexity

they replied yesterday that is
Brief
Same day replied is not guaranted and automatically done
There cud b further check or if documents provided are missing etc

They also explain that on day they provide letter that application is valid and case worker explain what to provide n when and refrain any enquiries update etc

In the end they wrote in the light of above pap is now concluded

What does that mean please

Also they write in last lines

From 6april 2016 immigration applications may be refused if the applicant owes a litigation debt to the home office. We wish to remind you that failure to pay any cost awarded against you by the court or tribunal should you proceed with litigation in this case may effect the success of any further immigration application you make

Wat is this please explain
Hi,

I think you will just need to wait for the outcome.

In regards to the last part or paragraph. Have a read on the litigation debt owed to the Home Office.

Dear Member
Yestedary evening My solicitor called me and inform me the good News
Alkhamdulillah they have granted me and my wife ILR

I was most worried about my wife because she hadnot completed her 6 years but my solicitor representaion was brilliant about her and he fully focused on her first leave was inline with my leave and due to UKBA error she was not granted 3 years initially

my full story is already shared in this post

My Question is

in shared emailed from solicitor i recived few pages
in which home office mentioned that
Dear Sirs
My name DOB and stadnard letter [ i am retruning the enclosed passport and other documents which you provided in support of yoru application. A BRP will be sent to you under seprate cover. you should receive your permit within 7 workign days etc so on]

and same one letter for my wife same like above line

then 3 pages another letter in which they wrote in bold font

These notes are for inforamtion purpose only and do not convey the grant of ILR

then
your application for ILR has been approved. you will be send BRP as confirmation of ILR

in this approval letter they didnot put any refernce number or any name

and how long BRP card take to arrive ?

Please shed some lights

If you could maybe post the letter wording taking out any personal information and reference numbers. It would give us a better idea.

But you wouldn't be getting a BRP card if your ILR was not successful.

Also, BRP cards normally take up 7 days from what I have been reading after a successful application of ILR.

To me it seems you have been granted ILR as all the traits of an ILR holder are there entitled by you.

It maybe suggesting the letter itself isn't a grant of ILR documentation but rather once your recieve your BRP card that would be proof of your ILR.

Also, if you do a search on Google '' ILR grant letter'' and go to images, that same standard format letter comes up as results.

Again you have been 'approved' for an application of ILR.

Again to reiterate, your BRP card will bear the ILR on it and not the letter thus why they have stated on the top '' these notes are for information purposes only and do not convey THE grant of ILR''. Your BRP will convey THE grant of ILR.

Again congratulations 🎊!!

Normally 10 years but due to a new biometric system taking place in 2024, I think all BRP cards will be updated to the new system. Hence a date of expiry for the card (not ILR) is 2024.

I can't comment on whether it would be an issue going back to the home country after being granted DLR from a previously refused asylum application.

But as it was refused (asylum application) , UKVI may have, from the evidence before them, made the decision to refuse it as it may have not warranted an asylum grant as they must have concluded Pakistan or India does offer safety and protection and their is a system to seek justice.

I don't know how an immigration officer at border control may view it, but I would have thought a refused asylum application was exactly why it was refused. You do not need asylum in the UK.

I will leave others to comment in regards to this. Maybe best to seek professional advice in regards to this.

Possibly your BRP card, just need to catch them next time, I have heard they can be notoriously hard to 'get them'.
