How are people getting their ceremonies within a day or two of the approval letters? My letter says I need to wait for the invitation before I can contact my council (my council does 2-3 ceremonies per week). I'm still waiting for my invitation letter.

For me, I received the invitation letter the day after my approval letter; I was told that UKBA send approval to us and local authority at the same time. I got May 6th as a ceremony date, I phoned up to enquire about a private ceremony and luckily they had a space for the following day (someone cancelled).Pure luck.

Still waiting for my invitation but I've called my council and was advised that the next group ceremony is on the 15th of April, so I'm hoping that I receive my invitation soon so I can book it for the 15th.

Am also waiting for a ceremony letter.

Approval was dated 19 March; so a week today.
My Council definitely sends letters out so I will just be patient and only chase after the 2 week time period is up.

About the invitation letter from the council.

I contacted the council about what their procedure is and have just received their call back.

She confirmed it not their normal procedure to send out any letters as my Home Office letter tells me. I read her the portion of the letter that said NOT to contact my council and she asked if I was sure it really was my approval letter. I said I was definitely sure and she went and checked their paperwork and confirmed the council does indeed have my paperwork there.

The council lady is still confused about my letter and has asked me to take a picture of it and email it to her so she can read it and will get back to me.

Well, I applied on 10th and fees deducted on 17th so I think there is sometime left befor they start 2nd week applications

gotcha - well, you can do with some wait in that case, not! Hope you aren't brushed aside (like I am it feels).. all the best I think I am gonna take a break from the forum to relieve some pressure over this!
