any numbers... they just go to bsnl / mtnl website and check the telephone numbers there...
and then they will search with your company name and will call at any number.

Just to extrapolate here... so could we consider that by 1 month all of us should get our decisions?
What's your take on this?

Lion686 has been waiting for more than a month now - 03/12/07 - 12/01/08
But yes , i think it is safe to presume that 90% of cases are processed in a month
Mumbai BHC is taking less than that - 2 weeks is the average
Chennai BHC , yes , a month - and now they are saying 25 working days to those who called to enquire - so that is almost 6 weeks - considering that there are 2 to 3 public holidays in January.

Hi Everyone,
I applied for EC under HSMP on 31 December 2007 for me and my wife(as dependent). We submitted our Original Marriage Certificate, but no marriage photos(I was not carrying as I am unaware that they are required). The VFS officer warned me I am taking a risk by not submitting photos, as spouse names are not included in our passports eventhough my wife has got her passport recently(after we got marriage, but passport was applied before our marriage ). I decide to go ahead as submit our application as we are submitting Original Marriage Certificate.
The VFS Officer made a remark 'Informed about marriage photo, applicant insisted to go forward with the same'.
Will marriage photos be an issue for me in deciding my application ?
My status is 'Forwarded your application to BHC on 31 December 2007'.
Thanks in advance for you replies...

Hi,
I have got HSMP work permit from India.
Now my company wants me to go to onsite at the end of this month.
Owing to client issues I can't say no.
And my HSMP work permit is going to expire on 17March2008.
In such a situation what should I do... coz I'll come from Onsite in May...
Can I apply for EC from Onsite...(It's Europe)...
or Can Anybody else apply for EC in my absence... which I guess can not be done coz i'll be carrying my passport with me. So, is there any provision for my case...
Pls help...
Regards,
Raj

I think you have to come down to your country of origin/country of residence for your EC.

Finally, submitted the docs for EC today at Bangalore VFS. Time of entry was 7.30 AM and time of exit was 11.30 AM. I should say everything went of fine except for one part. I just submitted the only the current employer certificates. I didnt submit any certificates regarding the previous employement. The VFS guy told me that it will add weightage if you submit. So, I'm still not sure howz it gonna be...So, any of your guys here experienced a similar situation? And yes...this guy accepted my original DL

She said it is your call to proceed. So i told her i will come back again on wednesday as my friend's passport with visa stamp was not the latest one.
