Hi
Any one waiting their passport first time
I applied my first passport after my Naturalisation on 29th March 22.
I have got passport updates on 11 April 22 documents received, then again (2nd time)I received passport updates on 29th April that documents received.
Then I noticed on my online portal which is say 'application being processed ' on 4th May 22.after I didn't get any updates.
I don't have any idea that How long to be take to complete this process? and when I am able to receive my passport ?
Please anyone has similar experience please share with here.

Today (May 9, 2022), I finally got through to the chat after a week of trying. The very nice agent informed me that they are waiting for my documents to be uploaded.

17/3/22- passport online application
21.3/22- supporting doc post and received 23.

Passport received after 1 month 3 weeks process time from processing went straight to complete and few hours later despitched. Thank everyone here and good luck to u all . Best thx goes to the Irish government.

Managed to get someone today over the phone. Very nice agent. Told me that my application was approved yesterday and that passport will be posted soon.

Fingers crossed and it will be the end of my citizenship process.

That's for UK passports. For Ireland you would check the tracker on the DFA website.

If you have 2 hrs to spare, take your phone and constantly ring them. You will eventually get through. I am speaking from experience. It took me over 2hrs before I managed to get through.

If you prefer the webchat, you might want to start refreshing the page at 8:59. Went through a couple of time but unfortunately I was at work and couldn't keep up with my phone.

At time of application, turnaround time was estimated at 40 working days.

We contacted the passport office early last week and they said the application looks good, no errors, they just haven’t printed it yet. They expedited it as we are supposed to be moving to Ireland in June but said there’s nothing else we can do but wait.

Looks like they even work on Sunday.

Passport Book dispatched on 22/05/2022 while passport card is been printed.
