I rang them regarding my wife's application and they still waitting for outside agencies (ie garda report), that since May and I don't know how long should we wait more.
They told me the same thing from last couple of months ,my application Feb'2009 and LTR may'09. don't know why they are taking so long for G'Report on top of that new app's process only 6months( All reports with in 6 months....

Hi guys,
Congratulation to everybody who allready got an approval.
Is anybody here who were initially granted permission to remain in the State under the Irish Born Child Scheme, 2005 (IBC/05) and who got the approval now?
Has anyone heard about those people?
thanks

Congratulations to you and all those who waited for so long!
It's disappointing to see 3 years waiting vs 6-12 months

patiently waiting,
Do you really believe that people are getting their citizenship in 6-12 months ? except for a few lucky ( odd!) claims i don't really see any consistent processing time for citizenship. I do agree that the process has been improved ( seems though) but it still is a long long wait.
thanks

Hi starbuck I think you are in wrong perception that the citizenship application time is reduced to 6-12 months as told by allan shatter the above mentioned time frame only comes in to affect next spring(hope so fingers crossed) until then it is same process as going for years nothing changed except some internal changes for efficient processing . Right now still the inis web site mentions average time frame more than 24 months so why are you expecting citizenship to be issued b/w 6-12 months. Until inis officially says the time frame reduced don't expect citizenship process to be fast
