Fret not, Seymour. Your application is fine. Many of us didn't get confirmation and the applications have still gotten approved.
They are very good at handling documents at Balbriggan. You have nothing to worry about.

Another September application, and another one received after mine was to boot. Can’t help checking my emails multiple times a day now. But you know what they say, a watched pot never boils. Hopefully they speed up in the team who’s handling my application as I’m desperate to hear the news for myself now.Tumbledwyer wrote: ↑Mon Oct 24, 2022 7:57 pmEvening all,
Long time lurker here. Thank you all for keeping me sane.... whoever started 'The Spreadsheet' deserves a medal!
Application date: 01/09/2020
Documents received: 28/9/2020
Address check: 21/10/2022
Congrats email:
FBR cert received:
I know I've left a certificate out (pandemic brain!) so am fully expecting a query email to follow. Just excited to be at the top of the pile for now though!
I have a hunch that different teams operate differently. Some do the address check at the beginning, some at the end.JT97 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 24, 2022 9:59 pmAnother September application, and another one received after mine was to boot. I asked them that exact question on the phone chat previously..Artwerk wrote: ↑Mon Oct 24, 2022 9:23 amI'm the same, but thought better to be safe.Pmc87 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 22, 2022 9:44 amHi all!

Kicking myself a bit as I didn’t send the docs in because of the statement on the website asking not to.. but seems they are going through pretty fast now!
Good luck all!![]()
I wonder if they are processing them by application date or docs received date? Let's hope the application date

I think that well warrants getting in touch with them and asking what is going on.wjcrichards wrote: ↑Wed Oct 26, 2022 11:19 amHi all,
This is all really promising, the speed of the application progress!
Although, I am a March 2020 applicant and I have still yet to hear a word...
My documents were received in Balbriggan on the 23rd of March 2020.
Longest wait ever? I'll go for the title!
Will
Let's hope so! My docs were received in Oct 2021, so I'm hopeful it'll be less than a year for me now. Looking at the spreadsheet, it appears there aren't many applications from Jan-Sept 2021, so maybe even in 6 months?! (and therefore a year and a half for you?) - Can you tell I'm getting excited and obsessively checking the forum every day?rgaines3 wrote: ↑Wed Oct 26, 2022 3:54 pmWith the FBR office now processing October applications from 2020, and assuming that they keep up their current pace of review, it seems to me that those of us who submitted out applications and documents in October 2022 could feasibly our applications reviewed and (hopefully) approved in well under the 2 years they are currently estimating. What do you all think?
One would assume the volume sent during the lockdown period is significantly less - they had the notice not to send documents up on their website for months!bramarcan wrote: ↑Wed Oct 26, 2022 4:26 pmLet's hope so! This is me being way too optimistic and getting my hopes up, BUT: looking at the spreadsheet, there are ~70 people between me and the last person whose application is being reviewed as of today. Looking further back on the spreadsheet, you can estimate that they were able to review about 70 applications in just the past two months. So if they keep up their pace, it doesn't seem to be completely unreasonable that they get to more recent applications within a few months....Roonil Wazlib wrote: ↑Wed Oct 26, 2022 5:02 pmOne would assume the volume sent during the lockdown period is significantly less - they had the notice not to send documents up on their website for months!bramarcan wrote: ↑Wed Oct 26, 2022 4:26 pmLet's hope so! I thought it would take 3 months, as my sisters had in 2018. How cute is that.![]()
While I'd absolutely love this to be the case, my husband and I applied two months apart in the March and May of 2021.... there are 5101 numbers between our application numbers. However, the important date is obviously for our documents received.rgaines3 wrote: ↑Wed Oct 26, 2022 7:05 pmThis is me being way too optimistic and getting my hopes up, BUT: looking at the spreadsheet, there are ~70 people between me and the last person whose application is being reviewed as of today. Prior to Brexit and of course the Covid shutdowns, the official time was 9 - 12 months. So it's definitely possible. Right now they are processing a period where they would have received many less applications as the FBR was officially closed for most of 2020 from April I believe onward (they reopened briefly then closed again at Christmas). Entirely reasonable to think that the number of applications should normalize and processing time should go back to what it was pre Brexit and pre Covid backlog. Good luck to you!rgaines3 wrote: ↑Wed Oct 26, 2022 3:54 pmWith the FBR office now processing October applications from 2020, and assuming that they keep up their current pace of review, it seems to me that those of us who submitted out applications and documents in October 2022 could feasibly our applications reviewed and (hopefully) approved in well under the 2 years they are currently estimating. Missed the edit window- the above was for 2 children, I sent both applications in with one set of parent/grandparent documents.Notanotherusername wrote: ↑Wed Oct 26, 2022 9:33 pmSo as we’re getting near I’ve dug out my actual dates, rather than just “November”![]()
