Criteria: 5 yrs wp/Tier1 + 1 yr ILR (myself and a uk-born Child)
Date of submission: 1st Dec 2010
Date reached HO: 2nd Dec 2010
Date of Debit Card deduction: 8th Dec 2010
Date of receipt of acknowledgment letter: 11th Dec (Dated 7th Dec)
Date of receipt of approval & ceremony invitation letter: 24th Dec (Dated 16th Dec)
Date of ceremony: 4th Jan 2011 (private, booked on 24th Dec 2010)

Now I'm preparing the passport application. Since it doesn't seem clear to me what is issuance place in the naturalization certificate, should I fill the name of the local registration office in the "issuance place" box of section 5, where the ceremony took place? or just simply leave the box blank?

Your Council name (where you planning to take Ceremony)

Councils do not issue certificates.
They pass them onto you.

Your Council name (where you planning to take Ceremony)

Councils do not issue certificates.
They pass them onto you.

Actually, my certificate states it is issued by: HOME OFFICE LONDON.

All the certificate issued from HO London.

it is up to you .....

but read form carefully ..."Where is your naturalization certificate issued"....
After oath you need to sign the new citizen book in council and that clear mention "Certificate issued" ...
I have wrote my council name .... and got my PP without any issue .. but if some thing changed in last 2 to 3 month than no idea.

31/12/10 - Interview letter received and also supporting documents returned by secure post.

I have four questions:

If you did life in the UK test, Could you do it on a weekend or did it have to be a weekday?

Why did you choose to send your application via NCS? Was it just to keep your documents?

Also on the very first question on the AN form, what did you put as your UKBA reference number? I don't think I've got one...

How often and when do they do ceremonies?

It is a service provided by the Post Office. They check your passport application to ensure you have filled it in correctly and have the correct supporting documents and they send it to the IPS.

I received a call this morning from the IPS office asking whether I want them to send my daughter's documents via secure carrier as I have enclosed just one pre-paid envelope and they could only return ducuments individually in separate mails. Never mind, I paid them an extra £3. Meanwhile, I got my reference number so that I booked the interview prior to receiving their letter .
