Wow, British passport here, return of documents here ( arrived same time, in separate packets)
7 working days from them starting process 17th May to receiving passport 24th May - amazing as I was told 6 weeks. So happy right now.

Other Updates: Letter confirming benefits received up to 5 yrs prior to the birth can be obtained through DWP via freedom of information request and takes 2 to 3 weeks. Benefits is mainly Job Seekers. Other benefits like child benefit, tax credit etc didn't count.
Tax Contributions - Can be requested via HRMC /gov website, once requested, save your ref number and chase after 3 weeks if no receipt (but can take 40 days)
Copies of P60 and Council Tax sent - printed off work and council website.
