The BRP card has my image from the f2f I did on 24/09/2020. I had chased UKVI for an update after 3 months as to what was happening with my case. I got an email on 15/09/2020 that my biometric was still awaited upon and they would take a decision once its received. I found this strange as biometric was submitted using IDV on 27/08/2020, almost 20 days before. Anyway, checked the forums and booked f2f and may be that did the trick as I got decision on the 7th day of f2f. Seems like fair few times to be a coincidence. In my opinion, no harm to go for f2f if you get free appointment option, like I got.

I did call up and ask for case to be escalated about 14-09-20 and had an email on 12-10-20 saying my case was being looked at and had been escalated, so may be worth calling! Good luck
