EEA4 fast processing times or wishful thinking

Applied on 25th June for EEA3&EEA4, received by Ho on 26th June 2012.
EEA3 permanent residence card received 14th Sept 2012 dated 5th of Sept 2012
COA for EEA4 received 14th of Sept Dated 5th Sept 2012.

On 16 October received my status Document confirming my status as An family member of an EEA National dated 3rd October 2012 instead of Permanent Residence for which I have applied.

Could Anyone tell me how to deal with this situation as for me it s a mistake from the European case worker.

Do you have RC befor which is vaild for 5 years

EEA3/EEA4 sent on 24/07/2012
Received by HO 25/07/2012
CoA for EEA4 received 12/10/2012

Does anyone knows why there is no sign of PR for EEA3 yet? (As far as I understand from this forum people usually getting CoA together with PR for EEA3?)

No hard and fast rule about that. Some come at the same time, sometimes it takes a couple more weeks. Based on previous posts, though, you might want to give them a call if you haven't sighted the EEA3 by the end of Oct.

Yes I have already got RC for five years.
I have been living in the UK for Continuous period of 5 years up to 25th June 2012.

Didn't they write anything on the covering letter as of why?

Contact UKBA by phone to enquire. If they won't give you a satisfactory explanation, then write to them.

What evidence have you provided with the application to prove that you, the non-EEA national, have been living in the UK for 5 years?

There are two options:

1. The caseworker made a mistake.
2. The case worker was not satisfied by the 5 years residence evidence for you so he issued a RC.

I have provided joint bank account and bills for continuous period of five years.
If he was not satisfied he should have asked me to provide more evidence not issue RC as family member of the EEA National as I have got already one expiring on december 2013.

did you send with eea4 form your wife p60 and work contract and paper from employer to confirm she still working ?

Applied for EEA3&EEA4 with all supporting documents ( 5 years P60, Contract of employment for 5 years up to the date of Application, bills, tenancy agreements and joint bank account for 5 years).

I received my COA for Permanent Residence on the 5 Sept together with My EEA Spouse Permanent Residence Card.

Call the HO on Monday. Seems to be a mistake. If you got the name of the caseworker, write a letter to the HO addressing him and asking to correct the mistake.

I called HO on 16th Oct and they suggested me to write Letter to the European case worker. I wrote letter to the attention of the person who signed the cover letter and I included the following copies of documents:

- COA for permanent residence
-Permanent Residence of my spouse (EEA National) with the cover letter.
-The Immigration Status Document I received (Residence Card of family Member of an EEA National expiring Oct 2017) with cover Letter.
-My Previous Residence Card as Family Member of an EEA National expiring on Dec 2013.

If you already got advice from the HO and followed that, you should have said so at the beginning and saved all the discussion!!

You should have given a full description of your case from the start. If your description is vague and incomplete, so will be the advice. You were asking how to deal with it, when you had already dealt with it.

Yes finally got my COA last week!

Wow, it took almost 3 months for them to even confirm the application.

I applied for EEA4 on the 8th of May2012, still waiting for PR.

Received my CoA today. I was least expecting to get one, and not so soon at that (timelines in my signature).

For anyone wanting to know its contents: The CoA mentions my case ID, confirms that I have applied for PR and my right to employment while my application is being processed. There is also a section advising employers how to contact the Employee Checking Service should they need to.

So far, i'm pleased.
