Documents for Child MN1 Registration, Parents with ILR

Post by doctorinuk » Tue Apr 10, 2012 1:06 pm

Dear All,

I was given ILR with my wife 3 weeks ago, after 5 years of workpermit/tier2 residence. Our child's age is UK born (October 2007). I am preparing MN1 application, and was wondering whether these documents are sufficient or not:

-Child Birth certificate
-Marriage certificate (overseas, translated and certified)
-Child's passports (old and current)
-Both parents passports (old and current)
-Biometric residence permit

I just wanted to check if I missed something?

Many thanks

See the last question in FAQ - most common questions - children.

Marriage certificate is not really needed (although it is listed in the guide but this is not for 1(3) applications).

I would call the HO and ask if the parents' passports are required as with the new ILR BRP, I would imagine the BRP alone should be enough to show a parent ILR status.
