Spouse and child settlement

Post by destiniation_london » Thu Apr 19, 2012 5:37 pm

I'm very soon going to apply for my wife and child's settlement visa (VAF4A). I am aware that we need to have two separate applications and pay separate fees.

But, what about my (sponsor) documents, for example my financial and bank statements. Do we need to make a copy of all my documents and provide a copy of them along with my child visa. Or are they documents automatically available for both applications.

Do both applications get considered in conjunction.

I'm thinking of submitting all my original documents for my wife's spouse visa application and just submitting my son's passport, application, and birth certificate for my son's application.

So, would my financial documents be available for my son's application automatically.

Any help in resolving the query is really appreciated.

Thanks

Yes, if both applications are bundled and submitted at the same time.

Thanks, yes we would be submitting both applications together. So it's ok to provide only one set of my documents.

One set of original documents, yes. However, most application centres have the demand for a set of photocopies in addition to anything that is original. You should follow the instructions for your location.

Hi,

What paper appendix did you submit along with VAF4A? I want to bring my daughter to UK. I and my wife both have ILR but she was born in India

I believe just for your child settlement visa, you'd probably need to show that you are the parents of your kid , so maybe birth certificate, nursing home documents, etc..
