Hello Jambo,Jambo wrote:... Decisions in Germany normally take 5-10 days...
Check the HO Visa processing time page. It provides statistics from the previous month. Applications from Germany (in all 3 locations) did not take more than 10 days according to the HO.mEEA wrote:Do you think that something has gone wrong that I have not received any reply by now? I appreciate it if you kindly let me know how do you know about 5-10 days processing time?
Thanks a lot Jambo. This is very helpful.Jambo wrote: ... Check the HO Visa processing time page. It provides statistics from the previous month. Applications from Germany (in all 3 locations) did not take more than 10 days according to the HO. ...
Scroll down to the bottom of the page - Complaints in Germany to see how to complain about the visa application centre or the WorldBridge call centreultragujar wrote:wrote an email to WorldBridge on 02nd May as i thought the 15 working days are completed.....they replied me:
"As it is the 14th working day, please contact us again if the 15 working days have passed by indicating the exact date of the submission of the visa application and the type of visa you applied for. Please note that the day of personal submission and public holidays may not be included in the 15 working days."
Wrote them today again at the end of today's working hour as the status is same, let's see if they could help now...
is there any other email address to complaint as the 'complaints in Germany' takes to the worldbridge site...Jambo wrote:Scroll down to the bottom of the page - Complaints in Germany to see how to complain about the visa application centre or the WorldBridge call centreultragujar wrote:wrote an email to WorldBridge on 02nd May as i thought the 15 working days are completed.....they replied me:

Thanks Jambo,Jambo wrote:As you are a UK national applying under Surinder Singh what your family member will need to provide for a Residence Card is very similar to what provided for the FP:
* Proof of you exercising treaty rights in Germany
* Proof of both of you residing together in Germany.
You are not required to be a qualified person once back in the UK as was established by ECJ in the case of Eind.
thanks Jambo, I will go through the link....Jambo wrote:1) Correct. You don't need to work in order for your family member to apply for EEA2.
2) No.
3) No.
I suggest you read Residence documents for non-EEA family members of EEA nationals.
Very Strange......does that mean...mEEA wrote:I received when it was already 11 days valid.ultragujar wrote:thanks mEEA....what was the difference of your dates between validity of EEA fp and the receiving of documents?mEEA wrote:Congratulations!ultragujar wrote:So the first step is completed today as EEA family permit is issued....
I went through the link but could not figure out that after applying for EEA2 as a family member of British Citizen, will we get the residence card valid for 5 yearsJambo wrote:

can i marry to my partner in UK before or after obtaining the residence card?Jambo wrote:The Residence Card would be valid for 5 years. If you are going via the EEA route, Permanent Reaidence will only be obtained after 5 years of residence. The 2 years to ILR is only for a spouse visa under the UK immigration rules.
The UK has removed the requirement to obtain permission from the HO to get married. I don't think you will face any problem marrying in the UK.ultragujar wrote:can i marry to my partner in UK before or after obtaining the residence card?
please note we got EEA fp on the bases of Durable relationship...
that's a good news.....i was not updated about it so i just need to go to the registrar's office to take the date of marriage?Jambo wrote:The UK has removed the requirement to obtain permission from the HO to get married. I'm not very familiar with procedures but I believe you need to give notice and after 15(?) days you can get married.ultragujar wrote:that's a good news.....i was not updated about it so i just need to go to the registrar's office to take the date of marriage?
would do you suggest in my case, should i apply for the residency after getting married in UK?
