LIFE IN THE UK TEST- information please.

Post by nionlight » Tue Apr 24, 2012 4:40 pm

Dear friends,
I know it has been answered even though I couldn’t find the exact answer through search. My apologies!

Exactly which official book we need. I know all 3 will be helpful but which one exactly should be enough. In official website there are 3.

(1)Life in the United Kingdom: A Journey to Citizenship - 2nd Edition http://www.tsoshop.co.uk/bookstore.asp? ... KID=002417

(2) Life in the United Kingdom: Official Citizenship Test Study Guide
http://www.tsoshop.co.uk/bookstore.asp? ... KID=002417

(3) Passing the Life in the UK Test: Official Practice Questions and Answers
http://www.tsoshop.co.uk/bookstore.asp? ... KID=002417

Many Thanks. :D

(1) A Journey to Citizenship - 2nd Edition ::: IS the Main book with different detailed chapters - It is always advisable to read this as it contains whole syllabus. Problem is that you will end up reading not important materials as well.

(2) Official Citizenship Test Study Guide ::: I have not seen this - I think it was to tell you how to give exam using mouse and keyboards :)

(3) Official Practice Questions and Answers ::: I loved this book - Contains 16-17 test-sets and each contains many practics questions. Each day I used to finish 3-4 test papers. This book is enough in itself though author says that Read (1) before giving sample test papers.

I would not recommend online free Test Paper website - Just because of the reason that they have so many questions even few are not in official book. Also be cautious about 1st Edition - I have faced the issue where Data was wrong on few website. For example :: What is national minimum wage? What is minimum age of child to work?
Answers to both were different on some websites than that of official book.

best of luck
cheers

Thanks innocentdevil,
Congratulations ! very happy to read about another success from my efforts at lifeuk.info
:)

for the OP- You actually don't need to read the full chapters (2-6), you can just read the quick study summaries and do the free training at my site (lifeuk.info) all for free (including customized advice)!
