Main Applicant and Dependent applied separately

Post by eea_noneu » Fri Apr 27, 2012 2:07 pm

Hi All,

Main Applicant
Application Type : Tier 1 General extension
Application date : 2nd Feb 2012
Maintanence Fund Bank statement dated 31st Jan 2012
Bio-metrics Given : 21st Mar 2012
Decesion : Waiting

Dependent Application
Application Type : Tier 1 General dependent extension
Application date : 26th Mar 2012
Maintanence Fund Bank statement dated 23rd Mar 2012
Bio-metrics Given : Received Letter today
Decesion : waiting

If my wife provides Bio-metrics tomorrow, can they combine both the applications for decision making or they process them separately.

Here the problem is I am using the same account for Maintenance funds statements for both applications.

Balance maintained
10th Oct 2011 - 23rd Jan 2012 Min £1600
24th Jan 2012 - 23rd Mar 2012 Min £820

Please advice... Main application OK???? Dependent also OK????

Thanks.

Why did you made the dependent application separately and that too without knowing your own status.

For dependent's application to succeed, Main applicant's application must succeed.

Don't know how UKBA works in these cases where applicants submitted separately, but definitely they have to combine the applications to come to a decision for your dependent.

Looking at the amounts mentioned, you are in trouble mate.
Main applicant is showing minimum of 820 GBP in last 3 months.

Dependent is also showing the same 820 GBP. Consider your applications are combined then you are required to show a total of 1333 GBP which is not the case.

No one can tell what will happen to your applications.
Most probably, Main applicant will succeed but dependent will fail.

Hi mantasingh,

I applied when my wife is in India, and there is a plan for her to stay there longer for family reasons. Then I withdrawn some funds from £1600 and applied my self.

But my wife changed her mind and came back after I applied, in the anticipation that I get my visa sorted by 26th March ( Current visa expiry Date). But because of the delays in the current processing times... I was caughtup in 3 months processing instead of usual 5-6 weeks process.

I don't mind if my wife's visa rejected. I can re-apply. But now worrying about mine.

Hi Guys, seniors and moderators in this forum please give your thoughts on this unique situation. Can I delay or defer giving my wife bio-metrics until 2 week period??? Is there any chance they decide my case??

Thanks.

I must say, you have made one such peculiar scenario which even UKBA might not have thought off.

Did you mention the Main applicant most recent application date and reference number on dependent application?

If Yes, then using that information, UKBA might have linked the documents and now you need to provide the biometric for dependent else the file will not progress for both of you.

This is purely based upon my own thinking how the process should be and don't blindly follow my words. Let gurus help you.

Hi mantasingh,

Yes. I mentioned my recent application date, and my PBS reference number in her application.

Hi Gurus please come forward and do let me know what is going to happen. Please share your thoughts, experiences. This really helps me to prepare for the worst and next fallowing steps.

Thanks.

The difference between him and me is of 90 days funds. I am showing my funds from different account and will be showing funds for my partner from different account. Both have sufficient funds.
I have spoken to UKBA call center and they say in worst case scenario my application would be pending and I would apply her visa. For her visa, I only need to show 90 days maintenance funds. Rest of information they already have on their system. Also, at the time of applying we can put reference number of our latest application. They can recall all information using that reference number. Still waiting for Mr.Mehta to reply on this one.

Hi All,

Today I received my documents back with approval letter. On ThursdayI sent a latest Maintenance Fund bank statement and bank letter with "Change of Circumstances Form". Today she is giving her Bio-metrics in a PO.

Now Is my wife's dependent application going to be OK?? With maintenance fund £800 from same account.
