Tier -1 Gen Ext salary calculations query 4 weeks pay

Post by argus7 » Sun Apr 29, 2012 9:03 pm

Hi All,

I am planning on my visa renewal sometime mid June 2012. I am in permanent employment and have the following query while showing salary calculations.

The earnings period I plan to show is 1st June or 4th June 2011 to 31 st May 2012.

Now I was employed with one company till 13th April 2012 and moved to another company from 16th April.

The old company paid me 4 weeks, and the May & June ( 2 weeks each ) 2011 pay date was 15th June .
Now the pay for the above pay date say 3XXX as GROSS was paid to me on 15th June.

The dilemma here is that in the new company I will get paid for May 2012 on the 15th May and this will be pay for the whole month of May and 2 weeks of April.

So If I show earnings period from June 2011 to May 31st , Do I divide my May 2011 - June 2011 salary by 2 . e,g 3XXX/2 and show that as the pay for June 2011.

If I show the whole June 2011 pay , I will have calculated 12 months and 2 weeks which will be WRONG and not acceptable.

As the maximum earning I will show will be for the month of May 2012, and I dont want to miss this earning in the 12 months period.

Now my question is will the home office see my June 15th pay slip and calculate 3XXX/2 as the earning for June 2011 till the end of the 4th week of the pay period.

As my June 15th pay slip contains 4 weeks salary of partial May and June.

Please suggest if the above would be considered by HO for 4 weeks pay, so that exact 12 months pay period is shown.

Thanks,

would explaining the above in the cover letter saying that salary period for May -June 2011 ( 4 weeks) as shown in the salary slips be divided by 2 to show the payment for June 2011.

Can anyone who were at this situation OR can provide clear explanation as to how to over come this issue please.

Any inputs will be highly appreciated .

Thanks,

This looks like a very peculiar case. For no fault of yours . it should be 100 % acceptable to break a months salary say June - 2011 period 4 weeks where you show 2 weeks or you break the May 2012 salary. Im not sure of the latter, but please check and do calculate

AFAIK

The CW will def calculate your 4 weeks earnings period by period and the May months salary. i hope its allowed.

I am not an expert at this, But If i were you i'd do that and explain clearly in the covering letter the GREAT DILEMMA!
